Most people flip when their plants are about 1.5- 2 feet tall. Some strains are stretchier than others tho but you wont know until you grow it. Try to do clones they're SO SIMPLE. Incase you like you're smoke.

About 1.5-2’ tall is about when to flip.

I flipped on October 31st, so you can check my thread to see pics if you’d like.

To many variables. Depends on how much space you have, how many plants, how much that strain stretches if you k ow.

I have a strain that has a massive stretch period I grow them doing LST and flip once they are about to touch eachother

I flip when my canopy covers at least 50% of my available flower footprint. More for strains that I think will stretch less.

Haha my water is shit comes out the tap at 0.5 ec and I was only feeding them at 1.2 - 1.3 ec.
I checked the dates that was actually just over 4 weeks in but this strain (apollo 13) just seems to go nuts for the first 3 weeks after i flip them and stretches so much.

Did couple runs like that in the tent, now trying some Slurricane next to them this time.
but I did the seeds to late so Ima have to flip when the Apollo's are ready and the Slurricane will be bit small, plus one has been a runt since day 1.
Sucks tho cos I had the Apollo clones in such small box for so long had to cut them in half couple times to get them away from the light now all the branches are uneven and the secondary brances havent started properly yet so see how they go.

Also been lazy haven't even put my Mylar on the walls yet this setup has only been going for week and a half

I wish it was automated lol, I haven't figured out where to send my waste yet it I put a float in the drain to empty itself when full. so havent automated anything its all manual besides the lights. I turn the feed pump on when I get home from work get good amount of run off, then once that waste tub gets full I have another pump in there that I have to run a hose out the room and onto my bath tub to drain it every few days.

Them cloth bags don't nip the roots cos there inside a pot.
It's kind of like a modified hempy system. pot with a drain hole on the side at the bottom, then a plastic grate in the bottom that sits about 4 or 5 inches high that the cloth bag sits on that, the bottom of the bag is just mesh. It was cheaper than doing pot inside a pot but over time the cost of the bags add up.
But it's easy to dispose of the roots and coco at the end just pull the bag out and put a new one in.

Yep I get that all too well its a pain in the ass. the pump in the drain is a new addition for me this run.
My last 2 runs in the tent I still had the drain tub but I would have to move a plant out the way disconnect the hoses take it to the bath and empty it and it's a good 50 - 60 pound haha

I haven't done a diary this round as I kinda slapped this room together quickly to get them going and it's not complete.
Plus Australian summer is coming quick and I don't run AC in the room so I'm not sure how this run will turn out their going to see some heat that's for sure, just hoping to beat the bulk of it before it hits.
But I might have to post some updates every couple weeks or so.
