Just curious if there’s a consensus on time, trichomes or combination to judge when to then either chop the whole plant or just those buds ready to harvest?
COB’s have thrown my calendar timetables off quite a bit versus LEDs and how they (LEDs) were somewhat more linear.
These are from the smallest leaves in the bud, but also have understood that overall if the buds still throwing out pistils it’s not done, even with the Amber trichomes.

Some strains will continue to throw a few white pistols, even when they are ripe. It's all personal preference, but I shoot for about 70% brown hairs and 30% amber trichs.
Dont look at hairs or pistils. Look at seed bracts. Let them swell out. Your bud should look like a mass of grapes or blueberries. Pistils will recede.
