When should i stop given my girls a & b and what shall i give them
thank you for any advice outdoor plants 75%coco 25%SOIL
7 weeks flowering strain unknown
How heavy are you feeding?
I don't really ever go over 700MAX -that's early-mid flower. I might try dial back down to 450PPM foR the last 2-3 weeks. I have fed plants up until harvest with no flush and they came out nice, however I wasn't feeding them a whole lot either. I have also flushed for a week, 2 weeks, even 3 weeks. Slightly different results, I think the flushed is a little more smooth. main thing I have notice so far is the plant using the nutrients/carbs leftover in its leaves when you flush with plain water...you want just the fan leaves to start to turn yellow at a somewhat even rate but the buds should stay nice and frosty...
I believe you can go with using nothing but canna a and b for the whole grow, with the exception of using coco you will have to supply calcium and magnesium if you are using r/o or distilled water. I add cal/mag to my tap to bring it up to "standard" level.-sometimes I just go by the directions on the bottle if I want to add more -usually being 1TSP/Gal.
-YOU are using 25% soil? What type of soil are you using and what type of nutrients are in it? Maybe you won't have to supplement I wonder what might be available from that mix.
If you want to add something in bloom I would some sort of carbohydrate or bloom booster. Haven't used it yet but Canna makes PK 13/14 I heard it's totally affordable and worth it as it will fatten you up. I am using a product called MENDOCINO HONEY- it has molasses, kelp,
yucca, and montmorilite clay. -This stuff smells so good and I swear I can even taste it...
You could just use unsulphered blackstrap molasses with every watering @ around 1-2Tsp/gall. the carbs will feed any benneficial microbes and I believe the plant actually directly uses these carbs if they are made available!
I noticed a big difference in using molasses and I use it every watering now.
(Especially because it feeds the microbes that will help protect and help feed your plant and soil!)
Some of theThe things I use to grow
Silica
Calcium
Magnesium
Canna A and B
Citric acid crystals for ph down
Potassium bi-carbonate for ph up
Kelp
Molasses
Mykhorizal fungi mixed in medium at transplant, coming in contact with roots.
(ACT)- some of the ingredients...molasses, earth worm castings which are pre-cultured with fungi, fish hydrolysate, kelp meal, alphalpha meal, and rock phosphate.
I feed with every water, I don't flush, Only thing I do is slightly mess with the strength and feed quarter strength seedlings also quarter strength foliar for all stages when I want to. with clones I think they can do with regular strength once rooted. Regular strength being 450-600PPM.
I try to stay within cannas light feeding schedule in reference to using cannas "standard" measure of tap water which I believe is .4EC OR 200PPM. I always off-gass or de-chlorinated my tap water first by letting it sit out overnight or bubbling air through it for 2-4 hours-not sure if there is a golden rule but maybe it goes by volume of water/amount chlorine present.
I have been using
CANNA COCO A&B with just coco and a small amount of perlite because it gets hot out here and my coco can dry out quickly, if it really hot and dry you may even want to consider pure coco?...I have read here and really want to try using COCO mixedwith RICE HULLS and nothing else for outdoor. Seems could be much better BENNE-fits
