When To Transplant? 42n

I put a few plants out last month around 6/02
theyre in 2 gal containers with horse compost, coco, and perlite.
Ratio roughly 1:1:1
feeding just worm tea
Im not sure what soil mix i will do, but how do I know when I can move them out of their pots? I want to put them either in the ground or in 5+ gallon buckets or something.

If they were mine, I'd pick a sunny spot, dig a big hole for each and prepare the hole with a mix of your choosing. And plant them in the ground asap. Containers will never be better than the earth, if you have no issue with good soils and water. I wish I could grow outdoors. No longer safe.

Depends on what you plan to do with them. If you have a spot you want to keep them in until harvest then do as mentioned above and dig a hole, add your soil mix and transplant that into it. If you want them to remain mobile then obviously a 5 gallon bucket gives you that option.

Yeah, im in the north east and my biggest concern is mold/rot this fall. Maybe it would be nice to have them in pots so I could get them inside to finish, possibly in my garage under a 400w or something. At least out of the rain.

I wanted to order some fast finishing and mold resistant from BOG just for this OD season but I missed the boat.

these are Tony Green's Gorilla Bubble, they done in something like 70 days, like glue.

Do roots need to get established before stretch? We get the que from sun to flower around August here. Last time I did OD they were bud set and blooming by mid August , i think.

Transplant as soon as you can so they can establish their roots. The humid dewey nights in September and October are brutal. I’m in the northeast as well and pull mine under cover at night to prevent a complete saturation. For that reason I would recommend pots or build some kind of roof or possibly shade cloth to help reduce the dew

what strains do you grow out here?

I cant decide what to do exactly, I'm leaning towards a set it and forget it deal and hope for a perfect autumn...

How was it last year? A few years ago I had to trash a pretty good amount of herb, that was a real shame. It was nice too and there was alot of it :)

Last year I grew blueberry ghost of and a random bag seed that was indica dom. Early finishers are best. I pulled my plants before the second week of October because there was some bud rot starting from goddam caterpillars. Those little fuckers are a bigger problem than the humidity imo. This year I’m growing la confidential by dna and pakman by thunderfudge outside, both are indica Dom. If you can set up some sort of cover, then you’ll be able to take your longer
