So my question is simple. How do I trim my fan leaves? My problem is the fan leaf is growing two sets of leaves and I don't know where to cut it. Only the bottom branch is a fan leaves so where do I cut?

Welcome. From what I can see your plant looks quite healthy. I'm not sure why you would want to remove the fan leaf but here is a quick guide.
When pruning use clean sharp tool. Use 10% chlorine bleach/90% water solution to sterilize tools to prevent spread of disease to plants.
Suckers growing out make a plant bushier and depending on how you want to train your plant can add more budding/flowering sites.
Fan leaves turn light into food for the plant so you'll want to keep them unless you have a purpose in removing them. Some folks remove fan leaves that are shaded by leaves above. Search "lollipop cannabis" for info. Others conserve all leaves until the plant drops them. There's a lot of info out there about the subject that you could read up on.

Thanks for the advice! From some of the research I did i was under the understanding because the fan leaves were blocking light to lower possible bud sites I should clip it to let light get to those sites. The leaves under the fans are underdeveloped

In the picture that you posted, can't see shaded bud sites. Can you post a picture of the whole plant from the side?

Tried some tucking first before I go cutting. See if that helps these underdeveloped leaves.

Pretty! nice color. Is this an autoflower or photoperiod?
From my perspective it's early to cut her fan leaves. I'd let her go awhile and those suckers will grow out and shoot up between the big fan leaves and you can train them.

It's an autoflower. Around 4 weeks old. I'm hoping now that I've done some tucking I'll be ok and not need to trim them. Any adverse effects from tucking I should be concerned about? Should I bother doing it at all?

I'm not an autoflower guy, perhaps someone else can chime in.

With autos you're going to be tucking all the time.
Going to cut center Big fan leaves that you can't tuck out of your way from covering Bud sites anymore. And make sure you cut your low leaves that are close to your soil.
