If you don’t mind me asking dude, with 422 different strains, what are you continuing to look for? Or what’s the end goal?Im back
I assure you, you can do an analyzing cross with a recessive homozygous regular variety. The results will be clear. Skunk cannot be recessive
I'm with you, I do not believe anything advertised as Skunk is actually Skunk, or we'd all know about it. As a test I searched for Skunk-ish strains and right or wrong settled on Cheese, harvested a couple of weeks ago, sticky, stinky, awesome farking weed, but not Skunk of old, and it shares no real similarities at all. Have these seed banks any interaction with Skunk of old? Are they simply leveraging the old skool name for modern day sales? I heaved my seed stash out of suspended animation to count 21 seeds in total, all from 1992-ish to 2000-ish, one or two I believe to be a real deal Skunk first cross, OR they're gone to give aways long ago due to a generous spirit and smudged labelling, the dilemma is real Skunk heads, 21 seeds to sift and sort via growing out and securing genetics, if anyone game, and fit the criteria, hit me up for all details.I went looking for Shoreline online and was not able to find it. Can you toss me a link please?
I bought a breeder's pack from SkunkReallyWorks.com a few years back. From that pack I have grown Gorilla Roadkill Skunk twice now. I also grew Peach Skunk. Both strains are super tasty but not anything close to old school skunk.
I've grown Skunk #1, Early Skunk, Super Skunk, Gorilla Road Kill Skunk, Peach skunk, Lemon Skunk, Lime Skunk and a few others. Nothing has come close to the original from the 80's and 90's. Too bad you have not grown it yet because in all honesty, I'm to a point where I don't think I will find it. I don't have enough time or room to grow hundreds of plants, looking for a specific pheno. If someone actually does come across it, I can at least run some tissue cultures on it and save it so others can have it too.
Im addictive to the variety of flavors and colors with the plants. I prefer Sativa and Sativa-leaning hybrid . I am also collecting to keep the genetics for future for my children if they are interested. If they are not interested I will pass them along. I think cannabis is therapeutic. If you don’t mind me asking dude, with 422 different strains, what are you continuing to look for? Or what’s the end goal?
Floyd at Hoku Seed Co has done a god but of work with THCV. If you haven’t already, you should check him out.Im addictive to the variety of flavors and colors with the plants. I was hurt in a auto accident in 2001 that caused me to be disabled so I started growing which the rewards from seeing what I could do gardening gave me rewards with the pride I could produce a beautiful plant. Sorry im all over but there so many reason. I went back to college after I was hurt around the time in the states became legal which I had to change my profession. I received a Associates in Horticulture while medical cannabis hit the market which I made $20,000 but I missed a $1,200,000 stock sale cause I didn't get the email.
Two years later I check my inbox with the exchange saying do I want to sell my assets cause the value was $1.2 million, by that point I checked the stock which it was basically $0.0056. My hart fell through the floor. Then 6 months after I graduated I had a stroke. Sorry this is so long
Im looking for THCV right now with Sativa or Sativa-leaning hybrid. I have a huge list I want to get. I guess I have a monkey on my back. I will post the list tomorrow.
If I can trade for beans its better then spending market prices, why I am here.
We all are tested in many ways which you either learn from the situation or you allow it to take you down a deeper path. Im sorry for your bad luck. I think whatever happened was a lesson and its up to us to learn whatever your supposed to learn otherwise you keep making the same mistakes.Sorry for your bad luck loss, I lost over a mil in a self fark up lotto draw, despite what I do, mind muck untangling wise, I cannot rid myself of all thoughts of that loss, even sought outside professional help, sucks, move on SlingShot, move on, this occurred in 1998, seems I'm stuck in time.
ThaI didn't know about this, will check it out thanksFloyd at Hoku Seed Co has done a god but of work with THCV. If you haven’t already, you should check him out.

crop king is known as crap king,..Been looking for a long time myself. I haven't seen the true skunk since it came across the border to Canada in the early 90's from the High Times cup winning popularity surge. It was also the strongest stuff around at the time.
Since then I get some nice coffee like or dank almost skunk strains but nothing the same.
I finally found a strain by a former company here in Canada that tanked with many after the legalization overflow. The were one of the best similar to Humboldt with genetic testing and breeding. It's a Mendocino Purple x OG Kush F2 or F3 stabled cross they said had strong skunk aromas.
I popped a few and only got a fantastic looking stocky tough male, and I went ahead and used it to pollinate my 3 trusty house strains I have had success with, Purple Chemdog (Great local grower), Super Lemon Haze (From a BC cutlivator) and Trudeau (A multiple cup winning Ontario breeder).
The 3 F1 crosses are finally growing right now, I have a journal on here not to document them, along with my organic indoor living soil studies. I have a FB page Organnabis Canadabiss Assist where I have cultivated along with using cocoforcannabis.com as Soil Sheppard as well, but decided to join the great bunch I see on here.
Best of luck on the skunk hunt fellas, hope to hear about some and see yall around. There's a crew on Youtube that had podcasts about old strains and speak of skunk, roadkill, along with like burnt tire and vomit like terps. Also I think Rob on there was looking for skunk too with his new Mr. Grow it crew. Joe Pietri was onto the landraces but I can't seem to find him online anymore.
Crop King seeds has some skunks I have yet to try and order.
