Grandaddy purple, been in veg for 27 days.
I probably should have topped already, but growth was stunted due to me not having the soil ph high enough.
I was waiting for it to be at least 11" but it's at 10" and it's got so many branches already.
Anyway, should I just top at the top or go a little lower?

If it was me: I'd go with taking a cut at a node under the black line. Take that cut, and from the looks I can maybe get 3 small cuts and 1 almost big enough to throw in a 6x6x8 after it gets white fuzzies. 3 smaller cuts go in the veg chamber, the bigger one I throw in the mix as is and flower it out just for sh*ts and giggles.

In a couple of weeks, after some canopy leveling, I'd be flipping the original plant and the bigger cut. Might do some judicious leaf bending/trimming. But that's just me. And I'm stoned to the bone and don't usually talk this much.

Nice plant, btw. Can't wait to see it in flower.

Cut right below the orange line, open up the middle so you get more light and more yield, get at least 4 cuts for veg and 1 you can flower out.

If I didn’t want clones, I’d go at the red, just take a very sharp knife and slice off the very top growth point (apical meristem) or you can sometimes just bend the growth point to one side and it’ll snap right off. Worst thing that could happen is you’ll fim it.

Ok, that makes sense but if I top there do you think there will be issues with there being 18 branches? The gorilla glue I have next to only has 10 and already taking up half the tent. It seems like this one might stay small and bushy, but do you think it will be okay once it starts filling out, with the limited space I have? 2x3x5

Thanks man, me too unfortunately, I do not have have the space for that. For now I can only use this tent, so I don't think I could even get 1 clone in here.

If I’m on my game, about 3 weeks after flip I’ll look for lower, weaker “ sucker buds and limbs” .

I get rid of them.

I get you on the light, I'm worried about that too with so many branches so close together. Would you still recommend the same even if I can't clone? Also, would cutting that low in this stage of development be too much stress or no?

I’d cut just below the yellow or blue, she’s got a ton of nodes once you break the Apical dominance, all of those nodes will start to push up to try and take the lead, I’d cut them pull that net down and start bending the taller plant under and once you’re around 75% of the net covered flip the lights, do you have a 2nd net by chance?

Once you flip the lights (about a week after topping or you can go longer but I’d imagine the coverage will be about full) then I’d place the 2nd upper net about a week into flip and put it right at the tops, and let them finish stretching through it as they please (2nd net is optional but I like to use it higher up to support the top largest colas when they start bending over)

Both my nets on this one were put in mid stretch just because I saw how they were leaning just under the stretch I got ahead of the issue and installed both nets

I do have a second net! In fact I just pulled it out today wondering if it was that time . Ok I'll put the first net on, and let it stretch a little more after topping. I think at yellow.
I've already pulled gorrila glue down so much, I'm happy with the canopy I've created for her, but I'm not sure if grandaddy is going to be able to catch up. What do you think?

They will both stretch in time, but I doubt she will catch up considering you have already tied the GG down, but they are both really healthy. If I were you, and I have done this before as have many others, I would put something solid and secure underneath the Grandaddy to bring her up to the height of the Gorilla Glue! Super simple, you just need to find something to lift her up 3-6 inches or however high the distance is.

This edit is quite silly but you can see what I mean . Put something solid under her (that wont break) and lift her up to where the GG tops are. At least that is what I would do with that height difference. Just my opinion. I have only grown multi-strains a few grows, and I had these issues as well.

Not silly at all! I had to do that last run! Had the whole 8’ x 2’ with 3 clones of one strain and one clone of another that was half the others size I had it up on a 8” riser so they’d match (she was still a bit lower but no biggie)

I agree with @BudRanger1919 throw a sturdy something under her and get their tops even, it’ll be a smaller plant but you may be happy about that in the end they should fill that whole net wall to wall no issue after stretch

Went down and took a pic of my Frostette mother for you, I cut her off about 4 nodes right off the main center, here’s how she’s stretched out the lowers, and the new nodes popping

That clone with the tops cut used to be the top of her main stalk

I top mine so it is only two nodes high four branches. Then I top each of those branches the same.

If it was me, then FIM at the red line. I prefer to pinch it so my fingers can feel what I'm doing as opposed to cutting. Up to you. This stimulates growth in the lower canopy so it evens out by the time the top recovers and you can get a few top colas instead of one. If you want to keep a nice fat main cola then don't pinch as deep. It will have the same affect as FIMMING or topping has on the lower canopy. That's what I do for my outdoor grows. It grows out something like this.
