Hell yeah, Nova! Look at all these Ohio growers that have come out of the woodwork lately! Lol! Good luck to them! They are flying the flag! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a post from your neighbors in Indiana! Actually, my home state! Go Buckeye State!

I'm from Indiana, and I grow, and I just read another person's post about their indoor growing in Indiana. I'm going to direct-seed into soil outdoors this year, and I'm in Southern Indiana. The state may not be legalized, but it's legal in my world!! Happy growing!!

If you put them in pots outside, you'll have the luxury of moving them around when you need to. Out of harms way when the weather turns bad; Out of view when you're going to have visitors over, especially useful if there's kids. Or if you're paranoid, as soon as you hear the sound of a helicopter, you can run outside and hide your plant before it has a view of your yard.

Thats what I did last summer for the reasons you just mentioned and yes I took a picture of a plane who kept circling and had AI analyze it and responded with most likely a person getting their pilots license and doesn't match government spotting planes. the only reason I wanted to do direct sow was due to the harvest difference. I may just try one and if it makes it to harvest great and if not oh well type of thing. This year I'm also going to run bigger than a dinky 5 gallon pot outdoors. More like a 15 gallon or even higher if it's worth it?

NE Ohio, here. Grew two outside in ground. They'll make it. Just try and find strains that mature earlier. But Keep an eye on them during flowering for mold. And hope you have a ladder, and plenty of scissors and alcohol, come fall.

If you want to there is an app that will identify the aircraft. If the aircraft does not show up on the app it is a police or government aircraft.
Planefinder
Flight tracker
I do this all the time due to my past history with aviation.
The least you will need is the app but a compass app helps if there is more than one plane around and you need to pick the correct one.
Flight tracker is more for registered flights and will show the plane in a picture.
Plane finder will find anyone squacking a locator.
Planes in vfr from uncontrolled airports with no flight plan will not show up but will be on one of the radar apps but will not be much information available. I had one but it was basically useless.

Thank you for this valuable information! Luckily nobody came knocking and that was the summer of 2025. Doesn't mean this will always be the case though. Thanks again!!

I love the sound of needing a ladder, plenty of scissors, and alcohol! Last year, I was fighting the powdery mildew really bad because of how heavy the morning dew had been. Is that something you have to work around every morning by drying the dew off or something I can put on them to make that lessen? It's quite frustrating to say the least!!

I had a little interaction with it on one plant close to harvest. I sprayed it with whole milk, not diluted. It stopped it from spreading any further, but it stunk for a few day's.
Stayed on thru the dew, but rinsed off after it rained, then was harvested shortly after.
