White fire--riddle me this....

After reading the entire The white x OG Fire thread, and most, if not all of the white fire journals/diaries, I cannot tell if they double in size, or less/more, during the switch from veg to flower. How Much DOes She stretch?

Grow Conditions/Situation:

18gal rubber maid tote, filled 2/3rds full @ 10-11 gal of nute solution. (2nd pic below) Disregard the holes in the bucket. usually they are closed

FIMmed at the 4th or 5th new growth shoot and LST and/or super crop to get all branches to the screen, to form an even canopy, or the beginnings of an even canopy.
Screen is set @ 10" above medium. (1st pic TAKEN AT 24DAYS VEG)

Vegged for nearly 30 days, or until they fill the screen to 70%. (aprox 10-14" total growth)

Topped prior to flip, if needed.

1000w HPS (Raptor 8" Hood) over a 4'x5' area, averaging over 50 watts per sq ft.

Rez temp is 68 deg F

Air temps controlled from A/C (72-78 usually day & night temps)

Curious to know if this strain stretches a lot, avg, or not very much. For example Bubba typically has very little stretch, but Jack Herrer doubles in size.

Your advice is greatly appreciated, as I hate overgrown scrogs, and I want to produce the best results for our collective, and represent the genetics fairly, as I have deep respect for the time and care that went into creating this strain.

Any thoughts?

2 to 3 x stretch but all phenos may vary !!!

3x could get out of hand :confused0054:

I saw 3 different phenos. The flowers looked like:
1 short and stumpy, and super dense
2 Tall, slender, and nice density as well
3 medium height and chunky dense (a mix of pheno 1 & 2)

My thoughts, so dont know how accurate it is, because I have seen mention of the #3 pheno. I do not know which of the above three it is, or if it is entirely different.

BUt holy SH!t, man. 3 times stretch would not be good for a scrog. especially in a UC, unless I want Trees :D May need to set up rdwc buckets for each lady.

EDIT: My light should penetrate 19-21 inches into the canopy, so I guess I could shoot for 12" to the screen and train under for another 6 inches under screen and let them go. 21" colas would be nice

thanks for your input Aligee

Actually, scrog would be a great method of training for a 3x stretch strain. Methods like SCROG could be applied to ALMOST any strain, but are normally used to control plants who get outta control. The general rule of thumb for scrogging, is to veg till the screen is 40% full, then flower. But I can see a strain with relatively no stretch could be vegged for 70% fullscreen. Scrogging is a great way to increase yield no matter what. Just BE CAREFUL your canapy dont get too dense and you could have mold or budrot issues.
Goodluck brother!!! Cant wait to see more pics!!!!!!!!!

in the UC setup she didnt even double - Id say about 30-40% which suprised me

maybe wifi is very sensitive to small containers and over crowding - my last run in coco she easily tripled

I have 3 keeper phenos and 2-3x basically sums it up.

Those pics were years old. I am just now starting to get a new op going. Been consulting patients on their rooms and practices lately and other things.... I have been scrogging for a long while. hence asking the questions about stretch. And i have 1 plant per 2 square ft of screen.

I have to disagree about scrog "normally" is used to control plants who get outta hand. I use scrog to control the plant and increase yield. (i just blew my budy out of the water, when i scrogged a small area of his bubba Kush. He was going to ditch the mother because it's yield wasn't as good as his other strain. No he's like holy shit! he's going to get min of 1/4# off that plant in a 2sqft area.

Good to hear! I am building something similar to the UC, with my 18 gallonrubber maid totes instead of single buckets. Basically a continuous RDWC with a self aerating top feed as well. I can barely fit my root mass in an 8" CANFAN box!

I have 3 keeper phenos and 2-3x basically sums it up.

Thanks for info you guys. I'm stoked to be starting the wifi sometime soon:movie
