Who uses POOL SHOCK in DWC...?

I have Ben running RDWC for about 6 years now and the last 6 months I have come down with a badd case of root rot the Slime. I'm just wondering who can tell me how to use pOOL shock to keep a sterile Rez and keep that slime from returning.
