How come LED companies will put UV and IR in lights but once it get to 480watts or more they get rid of it?

They do not remove the far reds and UV chips at higher wattages. Maybe just the brand.

Better question.. why would you be concerned with companies that do this, when there are plenty that dont?

Marketing.

They probably figure someone buying a smaller light is on a tighter budget than someone buying a larger one. There are supplemental UV lights to sell! Who is going to buy them, the grower on a budget or the big-spending, fat-cat, top-hat-n-diamond cane grower?

Cause I'm wondering why there getting rid of it at 480watts, 6 diffrent companies I've counted so far. Why? Why would all these companies practice same build technologies. Just cause there are companies that dont doesnt mean anything and really doesnt tell me anything.

That's the only thing I can think of is they figure the person buying commercial equipment 480watts plus will supplement UV and ir.
