WHY GRAMPS CARRIES A GUN

My old grandpa said to me 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life
when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's
when he becomes too old to take a whoopin.'

I don't carry a gun to kill people.
I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun to scare people.
I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the
world.

so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating
myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not
on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don't carry a gun because I'm a cowboy.
I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a
cowboy.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the
ones they love.

I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am
inadequate...

I don't carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful
to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron.
Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just
investigate the
crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to
take an "ass" whoopin'....

up and exterminated.

Anti-gunners are living in a fantasy world. Guns are not going away anytime soon, and as long as dangerous people have access to them unarmed people will be victimized. When you need help in seconds, police are minutes away.

Love youR post chickenman i read this to my wife before i even read it myself because i knew it was gonna be cool shit and that it was, I personally have never carried a gun for obvious reasons but would if was raised in a gun friendly society (and that ain't were i live) i just pray that I never regret that decision. respect SoSER

They already have gone up since last month. A $400 case of 1000 rounds of 5.56 ammo for the AR15 is now $800-900. 7.62x39 AK47 ammunition that is normally $250 is now $600. I am glad that my dad and I have plenty of ammunition and all the guns we need with no need to buy anything right now. Wish I had not sold an AK last year for $375 and an almost new AR15 for $550 when I needed cash to pay rent a year and a half ago. Those two guns would together be worth $3500 instead of the $925 I got for the both of them together. I bought two 33 round Glock 9mm magazines after the Arizona shooting of Gabby Giffords, anticipating trouble. Paid $30 each for them and now they are worth almost $100 each. If another high capacity magazine ban goes into effect they would be worth $500 each. I think I am going to hang onto those for now though. If the shit hits the fan there's nothing like 33 rounds ready to go in a handgun, that's the only way to rock a 9mm is to throw a shitload of rounds downrange to make up for its low power. I prefer a .45 or a 10mm handgun, or even a .40.

Shit man, the Beta-C drum magazines are going for $500-600 now when they were $200 before. Everything right now is a ripoff, there is no use in buying anything if you already have the gun and some normal mags. At these prices it is a real gamble, even for Vegas! IF they do manage to pass another weapons and magazines ban you could see the insane prices of today doubling or tripling from where they are now. However I really doubt that the democrats are going to be able to pass another ban. There is massive backlash against their power grab, since it is so obviously taking advantage of a national tragedy they are making themselves look like serious assholes doing this.

While I'm actually in agreement with you here for the most part chicken (lifelong gun owner)--it bears mentioning what was used to do the "rounding up" with.

That's right, they used guns.

I was watching the beginning of that awful movie "righteous kill" last night where it starts off with al pacino and robert deniro at the range shooting machine guns and realized, hollywood liberals are fucking crazy about guns, they love them! Almost fetishize them! Yet they claim to hate them and say nobody should have them. Then I realized, they are rich mofos and know that they will always be able to hire armed guards to protect them or buy any gun they want because of their status, connections and money. If they really believed what they preach, Hollywood should stop fetishizing guns in movies. It really pisses me off when people like Ahhnold the Schwartz make their career and millions of dollars starring in films where they kill hundreds of people with the baddest of badass machine guns, yet when they get some political power the first thing they do is ban .50 caliber rifles in Kulifohnia. What goddamned despicable hypocrites they are! Like when was the last time somebody committed a crime with a .50 caliber Barrett? That's right, NEVER.

But yeah, liberals reallly have a thing for guns it makes them wet. Really weird.

My father grew up on a ranch, and used guns like he used a post hole digger- for its intended purpose, and get plenty of practice using them to keep people honest. He passed that on to me, and I've used weapons in the past for their intended purpose. I am glad to say I've never had to point one at someone, hope I never do. 'Cuz that dumb motherfucker will be a dead man, and I would have to live with that on my conscience. But... if it's gonna be 'him or me', it's gonna be me.
