Heat will potentially be a problem. You will want to look at intake and exhaust air ... and will likely need to use a fan to keep things cool enough. Also swap the Blurple for a full spectrum white light. With a few mods here and there, you could potentially bring one plant at a time to harvest.Hey What's Up Guys?!!!
Haven't been through in a bit, so I came back and I have completed my Small Grow Box.
For those who like me, like DIY to save money or are short on it, here I have a DIY for ya'
First of all the Box part...
I used strong industrial carton and a Windshield Solar Panel for the reflection...

Then I moved on to the cover for a perfect fit and an absolute sealing, so no light during dark hours...In the middle of the lid I attached a wooden bar (a useless photo frame) to strengthen the led and lead my cable straight and hanging in the middle

To Finsih I cut a small slot in the box's body so my cable commes into the box nicely lined up with the middle of the whole system...

And in I put the light, a 300W Full Spectrum bulb.

There you have it guys and I hope my DIY will help out the needy and don't hesitate to contact me if you want precise, in depth info on the construction of this box. I will be more than happy to help
I'm assuming the bulb isn't consuming an actual 300 watts. It's probably no more than 50 watts of actual energy draw. The 300w is more likely marketing a bulb "with brightness like" 300 watts of incandescent light.yeah did not seen that, 300W for a space that small that might produce a lot of heat and you'll need a strong fan or extractor to evacuate hot air.
i m not familiar with this kind of bulb any link to the specifications ?
Yep! My bad dude...it is the equivalent of 300W...forgot to mention. Sorry!yeah just a not too big hole (eventually with a cover) top to at least passively evacuate hot air.
i had smaller carton boxes like that for clones and flowering bonsaï plants in small cup. (but with 30W only)

Actually I think it must be the phone that explodes the brightness 'cause when I turn it on in the dark, no way in hell does it get that bright. I can barely see the plate on the bottom of the box on the picYeah I also wouldn't trust that light to actually be 300w Looks like one of the ones for house plants. Also that color doesn't look like any full spec light I've seen.
Nope, my bad man. I didn't mention 300W equivalent and my box is 20" x 20" x 31" just to start one plant. It's my first time growing so I decided to start with just one.Heat will potentially be a problem. My "small" grow box is a 5 x 5 tent so I don't see myself utilizing your approach, but still it would work with a few tweaks.
No worries about any of that. To grow bud, you need to be able to control temperatures and micro-climates. Figure out a way to add cool intake air from the bottom and exhaust hot air out the top ... and something that will move that air through the plant so the leaves are always dancing gently in the breeze. If you can do that, you can grow pot ... one plant at a time. That is, if your "full spectrum led bulb" is indeed full spectrum.Nope, my bad man. Then I have a much bigger adjustable tent that I am actually building which will mesure 24" x 24" x 60".
I'm pretty sur the heavily marked blue 'n' purple aspect of the color is due to the phone because I have no way as much brightness when I look at it.
Yep that's what I'm trying to figure out and going to the store tommorrow to find intake and out-take units.....saw some in a Hardware Store. I just have to check out what the working speed is on the things in cubic meters. No worries about any of that. To grow bud, you need to be able to control temperatures and micro-climates. Be sure to use the dimmer because that could easily be too much light in your space. Another thought would be to run 24" warm white LED T8's in each of the corners running vertically. You could probably grow an ounce or 2 with those alone in there as your lights. Bottom line though ... get rid of the heat so the box stays upper 70's to low 80's at all times during lights on.Yep that's what I'm trying to figure out and going to the store tommorrow to find intake and out-take units.....saw some in a Hardware Store. As for the light, I am waiting to get paid and ordering the PHLIZON 200W Dimmable LED PANEL. This one was given to me by one of my buds at work who used to grow and told me to be careful and add 5 to 10 centimeters more of space as I would with a normal LED panel.
Thanks for the tip man! That's awesomeBe sure to use the dimmer because that could easily be too much light in your space. That's why I am building a bigger tent. This one is just to start the baby off. It’s being that short it will be tough during the stretch.
It could grow with crazy lstThat's why I am building a bigger tent. This one is just to start the baby off.
