Window A/C, No window...any solutions?

I have a tent and veg cab to cool, I know that there is some way to duct and modify a window a/c to run indoors. I Was thinking of in corporating a "lung room" but was a little lost on use and construction. Any help is appreciated!

Where there is will, there is a way.

I actually got a cheap exterior rated door and mounted an AC unit to that. works just fine.

LOL...When I lived in florida I got a direct hit from hurricane charlie...there was a neighbor a few house down that did nearly the same thing during our week long power outage....95 degrees out, high humdity, and no ac...geuss he was desperate....

If u know a HVAC guy he can make u a plenum to fit on the rear. Use an inline fan at 500 cfm per ton to exhaust it anywhere you want.

^^^ this.... there are threads around to turn your window unit into a porti style but requires a bit of diy know how an severly decreases the life of. Your window unit.... deacons idea would be the easyist way while maintaining longer ac life.... Az

Biggest problem u got is the built in thermostat on the unit to register the tent temps. You could purchase a separete thermostat controller that would turn off or on the unit

Not all units have temp controllers built in, in the most basic form... you'll build a box around the ac with cold air vents left exposed... the box has to be a few inches bigger then the ac an you'll need both an intake to inside of the box as the ac's need to suck in an circulate air within the unit other it'll over heat an blow hot air... you'll also need to make an exhaust for the hot air they generate out the back of the box an vented away... Az

I figured if I bought a manual dial and shut off that I could hook it up with a thermostat controller

Thanks for this idea, although if I do this do I need to build a large box/baffle with exhuast for the AC?

The whole time the units on it pumps hot air out the back as fast as the cool air is comeing out the front... you'll need a place to pump this air too if you can't get outside the growroom... the back of the unit should taper down so that it looks like the rear of a jet engine with your fan an ducting right in the center... this makes everything run smoother then just a flat out box... Az

So what the differences between a window unit and a thru the wall unit if your going to get one to use in a sealed room with no window?Is it just the way they mount against the wall? More rigging for a window unit?I take it you can run the intake and exhaust the same from the rear with a thru the wall unit? Didn't mean to jack the thread

Stick a bucket under it or run a piece of pipe to a drain.

this 1/2 ton ac could work if you can vent in and out with nothing sticking out.
want to buy it's for sale.Also a 1 ton available I went water cooling.
