I'm in my first grow and a seemingly healthy, white widow, is in flower and one of the branches is turning woody lol. The buds are all perfect and it's been like that for over a week. I'd really like to know what it is because I try to find this stuff out myself and I just can't seem to find anything on it. I've heard of like boron deficiency and nitrogen deficiency but it's neither of those I've got a pretty decent regiment of Gaia Green, foop, and a few other things. I'd like to hear any ideas on what this might be? It has yet to affect the overall health of any part of the plant.

It looks like stem rot, a fungus, I'm actually surprised that the growth on that branch hasn't wilted. I hope I'm wrong, it also looks like it's starting on another branch.

Edit: Might try squirting some H2O2 on the affected area and see if it doesn't stop the progression.

I read about that but the growth is unaffected. On par, or better than most. I would think the leaves would be wilting or drooping. Even falling off. None of that though. I could just cut it off, would that help?

I would wait and watch! I’ve never seen anything make it without that outer layer of Hide intact! This is a new one on me! L O L! Maybe the growth above that is just surviving on whatever is stored up up there till it runs out! Keep us updated if you can! This is interesting! And a week is a pretty long time!

Like @Oldchucky said, If you don't get wilting then I'd just watch it. Usually if the cambium layer is compromised the plant can't draw water to the leaves, so it's a bit weird that it seems fine. The new little spot of it forming, try hydrogen peroxide on it and see if it stops it from getting worse. Hope it's someting else, here's a picture of an issue I had on my current grow, all of a sudden one branch just wilted, traced it down and found stem rot, cut off the stem and treated with H2O2.
