Yo where do people put there thermostat

So I’ve had 80humid and about 28c
Past couple of days
I installed a exhaust fan today which is not on!
no it’s like 55 humid and 30c
I’ve also got my humidifier on constant
So I don’t know why the low humidity

my thermo is a cheap one of eBay with humid included

Where the perfect place to put the tool for a reliable reading

If it can be moved around easily, move it as the plants grow to be even with the tops of the plants.

I put mine on the shelf above the lights. I don't see where it really matters as long as you have lots of airflow/movement. No two thermometers ever match exactly so trying to set it to a number you read in a book doesn't really work. I know what my plants like on my thermometer. Leaf temps are 78-79 with my thermostat set at 81. If I check the same leaf temp on another gun its 75. So which one is right? It doesn't matter as long as you know what the plants like. Trial and error...

I hang mine from an old guitar string about even with the top of the plants.

Usually where the sun doesn't shine. That's the gold standard for thermostats regardless of application.

For humans, that can be uncomfortable. But for plants, I would suggest under the canopy, that's the area that matters far more than the rest of the grow area, and is more susceptible to creating situations of heat stress.

Bottom line, the plants can take a lot of heat abuse above the canopy, but once it gets down under next to your roots, then your in trouble.
root temps matter far more than anything, period.

I place a probe in the upper canopy. One at the top of the bucket in the clay pellets. One by air pump and one on the wall for the room. Can't have too many readings.
