so what do you know or think or have experience. If you have actually grown these that would be great to know.

It seems too easy...problems w/ genetics?anything out of the norm. I need to know about? The cannot go hermie?

any info is appreciated

ive had no hermies from female seeds so far but have had some latent herm from kannabia's female dr jekyll, IMHO breeders who select plants that wont herm in the first place, then force them to pollenate by means of colodial silver are the breeders who are putting in the most work to provide hermie free female seeds, some breeders work with hermie prone genetics just because thats whats popular, even worse some breeders use the hermie's for there female beans

I've grown them before (G13 Labs Pineapple Express & GHS Super Lemon Haze), the P.E. never hermied on me, I gave it to a friend, it never does it to him and he's been running it over a year and his enviro's not the best. The SLH threw some nanners under the same conditions, mine and his. I think it's more of the breeders' method(s) of feminizing that's the culprit, maybe they use a new mom that has the "hermie" trait in it's genetics and they use it's pollen for the S1 seeds......dunno?
Fems are great if you have limited space, time, and experience with sexing plants, or plant numbers, etc. There's a big debate about breeding with them though, a lot of respected breeders won't, others don't seem to mine.

well thanks for the info-I have been eyeing Barneys Tangerine Dream-still tring to figure out cloning and don't have any good stock to clone. Any other thoughts on this subject would be welcome.

I won't run femm'd seeds ever, under any circumstance...been there, done that, and held my breathe wonderin what some twisted seed stock is goin to do at week 5 of flower...

Regular, male/female seeds are the only way to go IMO

I am with Tex on this one. I also won't mess with autoflower seeds either. It's against my religion, lol. The prices suck too!

the sad thing is so many "regular" strains will hermie now, theres always been some strains known to be more hermie prone but now a days its so much of whats out there...definetly more in the last couple years, so many from the blue family or the chem family, JMO though alot of people dont agree with me but i think part of the problems been dispensarys thinking they can breed just like everyone else, and people finding seeds in there dispensary buds thinking its great but likely to be from hermies

Have ran many fem packs from OGR without a single hermie. I have also ran other breeders fem gear without a single problem.

Couldn't this, per say, only apply to seeds made with questionable stock and with not as diligent breeding methods?

I DEFINITELY dont have as much experience time wise as many farmers, but breeders like OGR are selling so many fem packs without any problems...I like the idea of fem seeds, saves time...But hermi's are a bitch.

i love feminised seeds.......its the new age of growers....all these"old-timers" of course will stick with what has always worked for them, and ya cant blame em. " if its not broke then dont fix it".(hope i didnt offend anyone with the old timers comment)
Anyways i guess its all in personell prefrence.
and i have had regular seeds hermie on me and god's honest truth never had a femninised seed hermie. maybe because i have only been growing for 3yrs and havent put in enuff time to see it happen. i just dont stress my plants and keep a schedule and write everything down...stress free is my lifestyle and i try to pass that on to my plants..LOL
idk my 2cents.
lol

at my first look i liked the idear of femd seeds... after i thought a bit over the subject i see a big problem when any gear out there will be fem there is no way of breeding crosses for your self and even i never did it i really love the idear of the freedom to do so

i think fem seeds limiting the possibilities a grower has at his/her disposal so im with tex i dont like them for the befor mentioned point and also the fakt that you never really know if and when something will herm on you its much safer in my opinion to have regular seeds and sex them propperly this is îmho the only true way for me^^

for cash crops i do not see the hate against feminized seeds, on the other hand i could see the problem with breeding with fem stock

lots of good words-thanks to all-still unsure if I will go this way but appreciate the comments

would fem seeds be like clones or would they have different pheno's like reg. seeds do? i only ask because i feel like i got a crappy batch of fem seeds and they all seem to be the same..lol

Plenty of good breeders who do fems! Ogr puts out killer gems and I haven't had one issue with his gear! Logics gear is solid also!

I would grow fem seeds from a good breeder like OG Raskal..

Fem seed will have different phenos juss like reg. Seeds

In Michigan you only get 12 slots, so having a bunch of male plants can waste slots.

there's plant limits in every MMJ state i believe...... so ur right tho feminised or clones is the way to go...for me anyways(im not a breeder)

I would never grow any ''feminized'' seeds the whole idea just sounds messed up for a naturalist like myself.

If you benefit from it personally go ahead! just dont piss in the genepool hehe

Feminized seeds have learned to survive through hermaphrodite pollen, so naturally they are more prone to herm. Just my .02.
