Hey everyone,

I noticed what seems to be a zinc issue with one of my plants. I encountered this last run, and I thought it was from adding too much phosphorus in the soil. I avoided adding any extra phosphorus this time, but the issue has returned just like before!

Purple Punch clone 18/6 in a 2x2 w/ 120w full spec quantum board @ 60%. Temps 65-72 (bit cool), humidity (40-70%), with active air exchange/circulation. Only new growth is affected.



I have three varieties, and only this one shows the issue. The soil PH is 6.7 - measured with a hanna soil probe. I transplanted 20 days ago to a 3 gal pot, and today I transplanted her again to a 5 gal fabric pot. She has been watered with reverse osmosis water and compost tea/extract.

Will lowering soil PH make zinc more available? Should I considered using a chelated zinc nutrient - I have some old fox farm lush 4-4-4 with chelated zinc. I'm pretty bummed to see this issue, and appreciate all questions, guidance, and help.
