My experience with them and unregistered vehicles I know they can be relentless and really obnoxious over petty things.

Government in general is like this. The city of Denver has found yet another shitty way to make revenue.

It wasnt the fines, just a real little person trying to prove how much power she had over me.

I'm not as paranoid as I sound, but i'm not going to shrug it off as just zoning until i'm sure.

Could the dept of health deny you from being a caregiver if your not in the right zoning? I doubt it, but nothing would surprise me.

The more I think about it the more I doubt the city has any right to put zoning regulations on what a private citizen does in their own home.

You might not be allowed to swap an engine in the driveway, but they dont tell you its not allowed in your garage.

Check out your local guidelines for running a business out of your home. I know in Boulder it is regulated, and the home must be used primarily as a residence (and some other rules).

As long as you are following your local codes then you should be in much better shape, and if they give you problems, they are discriminating against you because of the type of business, not because you broke general (non-mmj-related) zoning rules...

I don't think the CDPHE , HB1284 or anyone else considers caregiving a business or wants it to be considered a business, just the cities of FOCO and Denver have things screwed up. these caregiver regs placed by cities are BS.

.

I HEAR YA!!! I gave her no reason to have power over me and it PISSED her off to no end when she would come by and I was completely compliant with zoning (from the outside, he he). I would wave bye while watering my yard and the look on her face was priceless!

Wow, it was zoning that brought my brother-in-law and sister to such trouble with Oakland CEDA, yet it's CEDA who's ignoring the actual zoning, laws and enforcement.

Has anyone out there audited the city council, or has the grand jury ever had cause to examine their actions? I know a civil grand jury doesn't really have teeth, but then again, depending on their findings something could be leveraged from that point. Have you ever gone through your CGJ reports to see if agencies have compliance or other issues?
