  • any help is GREATLY appreciated. I wrote a bit more b4 I was told I entered too many characters.
Id b happy to post pics and give more details if that would help. Im on a mission to solve a problem that has eluded me for years now and altho it hasn't affected the quality of my finish, I want to get better and want my plants to be healthier!!!
Im new to the forum but quickly saw that you are an og on here and would like your consult when you have the time.
I use ro. Ive read that you recommend buffering the water.
Normally what I have done is add ca/mg and my nutrients and my ph ends up at 6.1-6.5 to which I lower it to 5.7 (Im seeing I should do it to a lower # like 5.5) and then it drifts up fairly slowly. I very infrequently have big swings in my ph.
hope yur having a great thanksgiving. thanx for all the help. don

I got nothing on this and I was around at the end of those days, don't remember anything like that.

Nope never hear of it, but will look around. You know anything about it. Glad you came over, it`s slow during the summer but picks up in the fall around here.
Correct me if I'm wrong, your using a 1ton chiller to chill a lot of water and I'm guessing that you have a manifold set up. I'm struggling with my chiller running all the time. I have ordered the ss wort chiller coils you have.
Can you send me some pics of the manifold and the recirculating pump you are using. This would help with my creation.
    Thanks again for the knowledge

I run 4 pumps from my chiller barrel.
I run a 2800gph for my chiller pump. ( I need to lift the water 7 feet that's why the big pump). I have two 300gph pumps for the ss coils in 2 separate systems and i have a 500gph for my room chiller. I don't want a single point of failure so I use 4 pumps.

Thanks for the help. I set up a manifold. The flowtec well pump sucks from the chiller thru the manifold, then back to the Rez barrel. I strongly recommend the manifold. Less pumps in the Rez heating up the water.

I just don`t want a single point of failure. I lost a pump last week to my UC, I noticed the temp drop, the only system affected was the UC. every thing else kept working. You heat comment is true but not an issue for me. I also run my main air feeds through the chiller barrel to cool the air. My 1 hp has not had any issues keeping up with what ever I toss at it. Kind of amazes me.
Heya Woods ~ Im about to start a new room and am hoping to use a new container in the UC system. I am wanting to use round Rubbermaid trash containers, 20 or 32 gallon with commercial lids b/c they are flat and would hold net pot lids well.. Otherwise, its a UC, 3" pvc, 3/8 air lines with 9" disc, 485 lpm air pump / 12 sites, 15K watts - lots of bare bulb verticals in middle, may double stack..
Could use some advice and see your grows are crazy awesome. I'm into multiple head plants also. Maybe if you have time you could hop on by with that groovy mane. The lion is a zoo. No weird pun intended. Peace brother
