ALSO, is there enough room in your trays for your plants to drain or do you manage to drain the trays somehow when they're sitting on the floor? sorry to throw all this at you, new to the forum and saw you chatting on cannabisjohns a/c thread and seemed like you were doing a similar setup to my own.

it'll be a co2 enriched room - I realize the plants will happily take more nutes and will accomidate them

hey man, I noticed in cannabisjohns a/c thread that you mentioned you run sealed de in an 8ft room. i'm doing something very similar in a 12x10x8ft-high room and i'm curious if your profile picture is the one with 8ft ceilings? i'm concerned about the temperature of the lamps at the ceiling (three 750w gavitas) and about the light stressing out the plants

A sump pump is basically just a submersible pump with a float on it so when the water rises the float it will turn on. And yes it will work unless maybe you were trying to pump the water up really high

You can also buy the float switches by them self on the internet and wire them up to a smaller pump so you don't need as big of a bucket. I don't get much runoff until flush. I'm not a big believer in alot if runoff everyday especially when you water everyday but some good growers will tell you the opposite
