    Plant Ethylene Problem??

Thanks Fishwhistle, interesting article. I did see similarities, I will see what is needed to get an air sample. Sixstring, this room has been running for almost a year. No new paint or drywall.

    Plant Ethylene Problem??

Yes I ran all these cuts before only under HPS. Did fine. Wanted to change up this run, and added checkerboard RED/BLUE - each at 1000W. I ran past runs with mixed spectrum, but used 4x RED 1000W, and 1x BLUE 400W (as side lighting) in a 2 x 1 x 2 pattern. No problems.

    Plant Ethylene Problem??

I found an article: The Effect of Different Portions of the Sunlight Spectrum on Ethylene Evolution in Peach (Prunus persica) Apices.. I only read the abstract, but it inferred that B/FR spectrum could/did inhibit ethylene production in peaches. Any thoughts? ~Rhyno

    Plant Ethylene Problem??

The lights are approximately 24" - 30" above plant canopy, I have a couple rows of Blue Dream, that need the hoods a bit higher. Cycle is Week 3-4 of Flower. I use H&G as the base plus some P-K boosters, and beneficials. I am not currently foliar feeding. ~Rhyno

Addition... The plant pistols started to turn and die early on in the flowering cycle - Week 3ish.

    Plant Ethylene Problem??

No CO2 addition yet. Waiting to get HVAC in this room before CO2 is added. Currently the room is being passively cooled. Fresh air in, Exhausting out 24/7. Another question, could the mixed spectrum throw off the ethylene hormone production in the plant? ~Rhyno

    Plant Ethylene Problem??

Question: Does anyone have pictures of an Plant Ethylene problem in flower? I am currently running in one of my rooms mixed spectrum- 1:1 ratio of 1000W HPS and 1000W MH and I am seeing a weird bud structure. Here are some Pics of the problem... Thank you! ~Rhyno

    Need Help: Deficiency Issue

Seamaiden, I checked... No mites.. BlackBart, thanks for the confirmation. We are receiving warmer days now, and I have noticed this has issue has gone away. They are growing nicely now. Thank you all for the tech input. ~Rhyno

    Need Help: Deficiency Issue

Thank you all for the input. Seamaiden, I will scope it asap, what disease could it possibly be?? The pots were sitting on concrete before I planted them in their rows. At night the concrete may have gotten too cold and locked up P in the soil before I planted. I started to add CaMg+ and soft...

    Need Help: Deficiency Issue

This deficiency has me puzzled right now. Looks like Phosphorus is being locked out, or is deficient. This is an outside grow. Temp has been colder at nights, but is warming up. The water is well water, PH at 7.0 before nutrients are added light, which lowers PH to 6.3 - 6.5. It's happening on...

Question: How To Match The Polarity Of Your Solvent To Cannabinoids?

From your data and research, it suggests THCA is rather polar by nature. This makes sense due to the COOH hanging off. This would explain the lower yields in more nonpolar solvents. This in turn, predicts decarboxylation would make the THC molecule less polar, and yield more in extraction by a...

Question: How To Match The Polarity Of Your Solvent To Cannabinoids?

Question: Does anyone know how to calculate or measure the polarity of: THCA , THC? Then second Question: How can we match that polarity to our solvent of choice?

    Hemp Seed CBD extraction

There are cannabinoids in all parts of the plant. Here is some research I found... I spoke to a "Pot Doc", in which his wife had late onset seizures, who treated it with: 1. Green leaves from Cannabis, ground up and frozen in coconut water in ice trays. He would then add: 2x "green ice cubes"...

    CO2 Extraction Setpoint(s)

Flashthunder, I appreciate your comments. I need to point out I had an incomplete thought in the above post... I didn't end my search at 120F, 1000psi. I actually now use 70F, 1000psi. only because I haven't hooked up a chiller to take the extraction vessel down past ambient. I haven't done any...

    CO2 Extraction Setpoint(s)

Flashthunder, I appreciate you joining the conversation, but be careful making bold statements with no shown proof. In this patent, the applicant found that running CO2 extract at sub critical, over super critical levels obtained a cleaner initial extract and using sub critical levels, the user...

putting activated carbon in your BHO tube..

Activated charcoal is used as a post processing step following the winterization of ethanolic solutions to remove precipitated waxes and drastically improve the shelf life of THC. It should not be used during the initial extraction.
