In search of an auto that i like
All are starting to flower
In search of an auto that i like 2
These are six weeks from planting.
They like the long days of interior Alaska.
These plants are untouched, no topping or trimming.

You are invited to post your auto pics or comments.
I especially wish to hear from anybody who has found an auto that tastes good.

Two week update. So that puts them at slightly over 8 weeks from seed.
Two phenos are showing up in the Sweet Tooth line.
Plants are doing nicely and flowers are growing.

I don't know if anybody is bothering to follow this, but the promise of a good autoflower would change things greatly for my growing methods.
It seems to something in the smell and taste of the smoke that puts me off.
Can't get past it far enough to be able to evaluate the medication value.

Two more weeks today, and these girls are getting ready to be done.
This makes them ten weeks from seed.
DSCN3684
This one looks like a S. E. Asian sativa I once saw a picture of.
Wide open flower structure.
DSCN3686
Most of them are very leafy / chunky buds.

And then a quick view of the remainder of the summer 2013 seeds.
My sea of green.

It has been an unusually warm and dry summer in interior Alaska.
The plants are loving it.
I don't fully know how these plants will finish out their life.
Freezing starts to be a problem in about a month.
I would love to start light dep on them, but what a pain.

My single Pineapple Express from G13 Labs was the first auto to finish.
DSCN3694
Leafy as hell, but smells ok, none of what I have been calling that rudi stank, and putting wet veg through the vape seemed good.
In a week or two I should be able to offer a smoke report, but I'm optimistic at this point.

The remaining five Sweet Tooth look to be a few weeks from harvest.

Trimmed out two single bud rot spots and thought they looked done enough.
With a cold wet freight train of a low roaring down from the north, I didn't want to worry about risking this harvest.
Back to normal Alaska weather.
So here are the harvest pics of my Sweet Tooth.

These plants were a pleasure to grow and some of the most beautiful finish color I have ever seen.
And check out the structural variance in that central number three.
They all smell the same and are sticky as wet candy to the touch.
And the buds are big.

Early smoke test on the single Pineapple Express is positive. It has the power and I hope the harshness cures out.

So how did the AUTO SWEET TOOTH taste, work. I bought a single seed of that one and it looked much the same. I guess I wasn't quite ready for it to start flowering when it was 15" tall. I pollinated it with my own shishkaberry hybrid and I have three two foot seed plants, two starting flower and one male. Is there anything I should know about breeding AUTO's? The pic is one of the new seed plants.

The buds are very leafy, but grind up nicely, smell and smoke well, and get one high.
Nice plant and a good producer. I didn't do much more than plant and water.
And, didn't taste any of what I think of as that ruderallis thang.
So this is the best auto I have grown.
I don't know anything about how these seeds are made.
Good luck with your efforts.

I made an interesting discovery today and wanted to pass it along.
This outdoor auto grow produced so much that I thought I'd use some of it to learn how to run an ice water screen separation.
Did a steep learning curve run that yielded a bit and just left to veg in the bucket to dry.
When dry the smell was vastly improved and it reminded me of a lid purchased off Peach Tree St. in Atlanta long ago.
It Smokes better too.

Color is dark chocolate with a rich deep smell.

I kno it's an old post lol but ur telling me your bud was still good to smoke after making ice hash from it? I've always assumed it to be useless aside from compost lol
