I have the co2 bottle going right now and love it but I'm burning thru it way to fast. It's hooked up to a sentinel chhc-4 but I'm going thru a bottle every 2 wks and carring that in/out is too visable.a propane bottle is easier and normal.
Anyways the wife is worried about safety. firehazzard/explosive.
anythingpositive to tell her would be great.
it would be going in the garage below our bed so her worries are understandable.
also if it is fairly safe I would love to hear some good makes and models . to get would be great. room is 10' x 20' x 9' high.

Also can anyone recomend any good co2 generators and what size I would need Room is 10'x20'x10' high. Also something close to Toronto. Looking at safety and quality and propane.

Anyone try this one. Looks good withe the size...looks small and the water cooling is a great idea.

CO2 gen's are safe for home use. You have a dryer at home? You have a water-heater at home? It's the same thing.

As long as your room is sealed as best as possible, your CO2 will fire for a few minutes every 15-30 minutes.

IMO stay away from the water-cooled hydroinnovations CO2. They aren't reliable enough.

Any recomendations....for 2000 ft2' room?
I've heard C.A.P. is good and I'ver heard blueox as well and maybe I'm thinking I have to go around 6 or 7 burners?

DO NOT GET CAP. It is trash. When my local hydro shop got R&M as a distributor, I bought 4 CAP burners at a low price. 3 of them had problems which had to be sent back for repairs or refund.

My most reliable burners have been from Sentinel. I have a NG burner that's been running for 4+ years and I have a LP burner that's been running for almost 3 years. They are harder to get because the major suppliers do not carry Sentinel products.

I would try out out the burners from Titan. It is Sunlight Supply's own product line. The return/RMA from Sunlight should be a painless process if you do have problems.

I have used CAP for about 10 years and never had any issues with the equipment, in fact all my CAP equipment is still in use today. They have a nice 4 burner model that will do your room, and a couple new products to monotor and hook up your fans to. Very reasonable pricing, I just bought 2 sets of the

The CO2-2e has two timers that are used to adjust the right amount of CO2 without the wasteful "overshoot" that other controllers have. One timer controls the length of time the CO2 is released and the other controls how often the CO2 is released. The result is a very efficient method of controlling CO2. It also features temperature and humidity controls which will disable CO2 injection if the temperature or humidity levels that you specify are exceeded, activating an exhaust outlet which can control ventilation equipment (air conditioner, fan, etc.) It also has a built in photo controller, which disables the CO2 function when the lights are off. The CO2-2e can be converted to PPM level accuracy with the addition of the PPM-1c CO2 sensor. The CO2-2e is rated for 15 amps @ 120 volts.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is one of the easiest ways to accelerate plant growth. Plants grown with supplemental CO2 can produce up to 35% more flowers or fruit. A propane or natural gas CO2 generator is the most cost effective way to add CO2 to your environment. Many greenhouses use CO2 generators to boost CO2 levels safely and economically. C.A.P. has developed some of the safest and most reliable CO2 Generators. They are capable of producing between 3 and 26 cubic feet of CO2 per hour. C.A.P. manufactures 2 models, The GEN-1 and the GEN-2. The GEN-1 is recommended for small to medium size areas up to 15’ x 15’. The GEN-2 is recommended for larger areas up to 50’ x 50’. Both the GEN-1 and the GEN-2 units feature a two-stage safety pilot valve, which will not allow fuel to flow to the burner unless the pilot is lit. They both come with a standard tipswitch that will shut down the fuel to the main burner in the event the unit falls or tips over. The Electronic Ignition Module creates a spark to light the burners.

The C.A.P. CO2 generators are constructed of powder coated steel enclosures that resist moisture, rust and discoloration. They will provide years of trouble-free operation. The GEN-1e and GEN-2e are manufactured in the USA using only AGA and/or UL listed components that are appropriate for use with both propane and natural gas. CO2 generators operate up to 100 degrees cooler than other competitive products. The GEN-1e and GEN-2e can also be easily converted from propane to natural gas or vise-versa in less than 10 minutes with an inexpensive kit. Both the GEN-1e and GEN-2e CO2 generators are expandable! This allows you to increase the unit`s capacity to produce CO2 simply by installing additional burners. Each burner increases the CO2 generating capacity by approximately 3 cubic feet per hour. There is no need to purchase a different generator if your needs increase!

The GEN-1e is capable of producing between 3 and 13 cubic feet of CO2 per hour. It comes standard with one burner, producing approximately 3 cubic feet per hour. The Electronic Ignition Generator comes standard with 2 burners, producing approximately 6 cubic feet of CO2 per hour. Both can be expanded to a maximum of 4 burners, increasing the unit’s capacity up to approximately 13 cubic feet of CO2 per hour.

The GEN-2e is capable of producing between 16 and 26 cubic feet of CO2 per hour. It comes standard with 5 burners, producing approximately 16 cubic feet of CO2 per hour. You can add up to 3 additional burners, increasing the unit’s capacity up to approximately 26 cubic feet of CO2 per hour.

Very nice.
I might end up with the blue-ox. Just because of the free shipping.
I've heard they are reliable but maybe I've just heard the good, not the bad.
Shipping to Manitoba gets pricey + customs always nails you.
I couldn't find any sold here.....dang

YMMV. I've used multiple CAP CO2 controllers (pictured above) and their Gen-2e burners. Over 50% failure rates for both controller and burners.

As for a cheap controller, get the Titan Atlas 7. It has 3 programmable levels and includes a photocell. The CAP CPPM-4 will fire day and night and only has 1 CO2 level.

I was just going to plug into my Sentinal chhc-4.....That will take care of it,

The CPPM 4 will fire all the time that's why the Co2-2e to control it. Or put it on a timer.

My point was that most of the CO2 controllers out there already have a photocell built-in. By combining the CPPM-4 with a C02-2e, you're over complicating the addition of CO2 to a room by using two devices when one device would suffice. IMO.

Actually your not over complicating anything when you take control of your growing environment. Using 2 devices is normal to control your co2 and fans. ( controller with photocell and a CO2 Monitor = 2 divices) Most set-ups have a CO2 monitor which you attach your to a controller, again 2 devices. The other issue is cost, that's why most people ease into CO2 due to the cost of the monitor and than a controller. CAP has made it easy to get into CO2 with the low cost monitor and controller they now sell and that's a good thing for everyone.
