man those even look like a cookie color looks bomb cookies for sure

They may be the same cut. I think the one i am not sure about was cloned during the flowering stage. I believe not only did it alter the leaf structure it also altered the looks. They were both supposed to be verified 100% legit cuts. I know the one is the forum cut for sure but i guess with the other only time will tell

Well being that cloning is a violent thing to do to a plant im more then sure it altered the genes . Imo at least.

It had to of. I hope with this strain it's only temporary. I have taken cuts in the flowering stage and the only thing i get is temporary leaf deformity. Never a complete change in looks. That's crazy if that can happen to certain genetics. I'll be happy no matter what actually. Two types of cookies is always better than one. That's if the one is not the forum which i highly doubt it's not. It's the real deal as my boy had no need to lie as i was gifted the cut and saw numerous pics that were indeed the forum cut. I'm just amazed how easily a plants genes can be altered if this can truly happen when taking cuts in the flowering stage. Were talking permanent altered genes that is

Well i think personally when u do cutting in general it alters the genes anyway being it has to repair itself so therefore altering the plants focus on growing and having to repair. I think that while its doing this its changing the plants chemistry and therefore not all clones come out the same as the mom cut from. I never really thought about taking cuts in flower and veg and testing them out you might have something there Pauly. But ya at the end of the day u got u cookies and all u need to do is dial her in and ur gravy.

It shouldn't last time, I got the cut from a flowering plant. It revegged fine and went back to normal cookies state pretty fast after rooting.... That was 2 years ago almost now, she's still trucking :)

Taking cuts whether taken in flower or not will not alter the genes. The medium used, environmental conditions and factors such as a different grower growing the same plant can result in an altered appearance of leaf and plant structure. I've taken cuts from flowering plants before. They go through a stressful transition phase for a week or 2 where they grow some crazy looking leaves in abnormal leaf sets. Once they return to a normal veging light cycle they return to normal growth patterns as well as producing a normal leaf shape.

I have been cloning the same strains for quite some time and the nugs always come out with the same characteristics of the parent plant. The leaf structure or shape can be slightly different from previous rounds due to stress or different environmental conditions. But, in most cases leaf structure and appearance will be nearly identical to the parent plant.

nice thanks for clearing that up , I have seen though a cutting change into something different although still showing the same characteristics it changed the bud structure and flavor but maybe a mis labeled clone so i could be way off lol and high.

Thanks for all the input guys! I was just amazed to see a plant change in appearance form a clone taking in day 2 of flowering. The mom is looking great. She seems to be looking more and more like the other mom everyday. I am starting to see less and less of a difference. I got cuttings of both plants rooting as we speak. Looking forward to seeing the change next cycle. I'll keep you all updated for sure. Thanks for stopping by and lending a helping hand. Appreciate it for sure :)

got any tricks for speeding up this process? feeding, hormones, etc?

Ya when I reveg clones as soon as I see new normal growth from then on is usually back to business as usual. But from what you said it must have mutated the clone somehow. And cookies is a real finicky strain to begin with. Ive ran the new wave cut and another un verified cut but neither was true cooks, Ive always wanted to run the forum but have never been lucky enough to get my hands on her. Consider yourself lucky and good luck with the flowers she looks tasty already.

Right on hookedonPonics! I'm sure you'll find a pheno from that pack that floats your boat. Some gems to found in there for sure. Good luck with them and please share your experiences with those genetics. Haven't seen to much from this new breeder

Peace out and thanks for stopping by :)
