Dude, I have battled mites years ago. I can tell you I don't have mites. I have wrote extensive replies on this site how to deal with mites. So I don't know what your seeing, but I appreciate the heads up, maybe some perlite dust because my leaves are so low to the soil.
It took me 2 years to get fully rid of them. I really don't even like to talk about mites. Now I going to have to get my microscope out. OCD you know.

Hey thanks. Are you growing in soil, can't quite tell. What bulb are you using? Like you said it is just a matter of veg & more veg. The older & thicker the plant the more it will usually produce. You have to train your plants for good yield period. That includes femming, topping & bending, to create lots of flower sites. I like 20 to 30 or more tops per plant. That is why it is so important to have a lot of plants going in veg, because my flower tent is a perpetual grow & if I don't have anything to put in the tent, it is not good.

Also I can't stress enough about having a mh light going 24/7 in veg. I use a 400 mh in about a 6X6 veg room with a large open hood hung in the middle of the room always on. Plants grow fast & it makes a big difference then trying to veg under cfl's in my experience. And for what about $25 a month to run a 400 24/7 totally, worth it to me.
I use t5 for veg and run em on 18/6.but I do a lot of topping and shoot for 20+ colas as well.im in soil, promix and coco 50/50 with some extra perlite.i always run more veggers then I need in flower and we try to chop and replace 2 plants a week.but with as many strains as im running we get weeks with 3 plants done and sometimes I get a gap of nothing to chop for 10-12 days.heres a shot of my veg room, peace

I hear ya (point taken), I like 24/7 because I am using just one room for clones, seedlings & vegging up big plants. I was also trying to illustrate in the last pic of how I am bending the plant to cover the pot surface, then let it get big & mature. The above plant probably has nearly a month and half before I will need to throw in my tent. To run these big plants requires having several vegging to keep up with flower rotation. I am now using 2 400 mh open hoods in veg to keep up.

I agree with a 20/4 light cycle your plants need the dark its part of the krebs cycle.

Krebs cycle?

Is there such a thing as a timer that runs on a 240V circuit?

sorry not krebs... calvin cycle. I just came back to correct that. I was just reading about krebs and it was stuck in my head.

yes there are timers that run on 240. go to home depot and get a pool equipment timer.

And I guess calvin cycle happens in the daytime as well... so a period of darkness may not be necessary after all.. Unless you want to promote stretching. Carry on...

Here are a couple pics of this girl @ 51 days. I plan on chopping this gal at about 60 days. Starting to look pretty ripe & fat. I am a little disappointed on perceived yield on this particular gal. This Pineapple Chunk is great bud, but weight wise, it is airy. I bet this is about a 8 to 1o oz plant
dry.

Check out this fat stock, I like at least 3/4 of a inch around or so before throwing them in the flower room.
Here is another one starting out. I beat the hell out them to lay them down, I just cut the top right off & bent the rest of the branches over. Soon she will be a bush.
