It's been a wierd season... 100 degree weather followed by rain each afternoon, enough to pretend we have more humidity that we do have (We are a very arid state, I'm at about 9000 feet. My Maui is just changing colors. I can't decide which scent I prefer: Night Flowering Jasmine or my deck right now... Here's a few new snaps:

We got this Bubba after the gardener had taken clones from it all summer, and we didn't think it would do much. She's really showing off her stuff now!

This little BLUE HASH has really been fun to watch, and seems to enjoy manicuring for light on those lovely new flowers.

What's prettier than a PURPLE KUSH, except maybe one in a black pot ...

This shot does not do SHOOTING STAR any justice at all. You may note I have special names for all of them, this being Amy Winehouse. I listen to her when tending. This plant tends to appear bigger and better as you walk around it.

Last year we had three clones, two OG Kush and a CANNALOPE HAZE. I fell in love with this bud and haven't enjoyed it from the dispensary nearly as much as I did "from the vine" last year. She is named after my cousin's nickname for my mother: Aunt Batty. Mom knew she only ate the tomatoes and the cantaloupe, so that's all she ever gardened. This is Aunt Batty Junior. She came very late for us from the dispensary and I'd love to have two, but the law here is three per each adult flowering, my med card allows up to 24 in various stages of growth. #HelloColorado

Yes, I have bud shots, and will be getting out the Leica tomorrow. These are all iPhone, easiest on my hands, but I have plans for a few shots ;)

everything looks very very healthy!!! :) great job so far, your going to have some great smoke this winter. i have to ask, is that a solar power night light in the canalope haze and the bubba? if so that might confuse her and possible the other gals and cause some hermies.

They are color changing lights in shape of turtle and frog, and die out after about four hours. I had a concern but the color changing gives out such separation of spectrum. Old photographer here. Would love to hear more thoughts on this!!!

Looking very good, nice recovery from the JMS set-back. 9,000' elevation..? 6,200' at Lake Tahoe was plenty good for me, and I like gardening at 2,500' better (would be even easier if I were a more southern latitude, but hey, we have seasons in the trade-off).

Mogrow makes a very good point about finishing. Fortunately, they appear to be in pots fairly easily moved, should they not be finished by the time inclement weather comes around. Also, IME, plants that are more rootbound flower and finish sooner than those that have lots of foot room, so that should play in your favor.

The lowest point in CO is 3315' msl, sea....so gardening here at 2500 ft would be a bit tough. LOL.

9K is a different story. I've seen any/all weather in October...so it will just depend on what Mom Nature decides to do this year as to what Oct 10th (or later) is like. I can't remember a monsoon lasting from late June-Sept like it has this year, so who knows....but that >is< different from years past...especially last year when it was dry, dry, dry all Fall and the "monsoon" was about 2 weeks long in late july. Could be a completely different thing this year...we will see!

good luck with the finish

We have a deck in front of the house that is "covered" and many old quilts, as we have been growing our food here for years. The heaviest pot is Shooting Star, but we have been known to hum a Broadway tune when wheeling them into the house and out the front. Did you know we have a ramp to the back door? Not for my wheelchair, it couldn't go any further! No, it was first for the Basset Hounds. Now the fowl love it.

Ah, but I digress. (Name of my never-finished book)

It feels like its going to be an Indian Summer, just in my gut after 20 years of the mountain. Farmers in the south of Denver area are cleaning up today, after inches of hail... yep. It snowed one fourth of July here and most times I can plant on my birthday (May 6) but the almanacs all say the tenth.

NUTE ASSIST REQUEST"
Had been using Foxfarm, cuz that's what's available to me thru Amazon. I got "Beasty Bloom" this year. All plants were placed in soil that was mixed with dried fish emulsion. I used the Grow Big until the first puff of a hint of a flower, when I switched to Big Bloom (which I like better for some reason than) and Tiger Bloom. Been using Big BLOOM in every other watering (once a day for most, twice for some) in low doses of course. The Beasty Bloom has been used twice, once a week since I got it.

I'm noting the normal yellowing of lower leaves and I do a lot of manicuring for light. White dots began to appear so I flushed for a week, that was three weeks back. All seem happy with the torrential rain we got yesterday! Non-stop, at least 3 solid inches into the soil of the meadow (which really needed it!).

Thanks for all the help and support and love and damn, i am so glad I found this site. I feel so much at home.

Will scout a few more pix I took on the day above, for your viewing pleasure.

It looks like a carnival down here! I am doing a Prayer Flag loop to a neighbor now. We've joked that we are "19 pine trees away" :chicken: The tallest bamboo sticks in the pots are 6' .... I figure for all the aerial surveillance they are doing, the least I can do is point out my grow site and show it's in a locked and fenced area. I put some gaudy hairclips on the top of the bamboo stakes so it glitters for them as well!

hehe

Mama, I'm not sure what your question is, but I can tell you that of that Fox Farms line-up you have there, only Big Bloom is organic, everything else are chemical salts.

Did you know that urine + wood ashes = a complete fertilizer?

WE SURVIVED THE FLOOD! An entire new path down the mountain, rivers are still running through the barnyard, debris collection continues, and since my plants were in pots on a deck — well the buds were so saturated that I had to dab them with paper towels to help them stand up again.

JUST SHOT THIS FILM TODAY. It is only going to be shown on here, so enjoy. Please do not share the address of the film, it is FYEO ...
