Should be shooting for 0.5 EC (500 scale) with plants that young. 1.0 EC is more appropriate for once they are 1.5-2ft tall/wide.

They'll struggle everytime with the EC too high. Reduce your amount of inputs down to your base nute and one supplement. Def avoid organics such as the yellow bottle stuff. Too many inputs equals unstable water chemistry in most cases.

Also, run 3/4" hose to extend your air line, or at very least the 3/8". Avoid longer runs with the 1/4" to avoid friction and back pressure.

Yeah this strain can really branch out and give ya superb budsites. I got a few different phenos when I first tried her out and have narrowed her down to one sativaish planit and one solid indica leaning pheno that will ultimately come down to one next round. The yo-yo's will definitely help ya in the flowering. Have to be careful of humidity on this one due to its density. Watching this thread

I was thinking about perhaps trying the whole range of the Bloom products (Yellow bottles) next time round!. So would you say its best to steer clear of them in the UC due to the fact there organic??.

Definitely steer clear. Use them in the soil and coco apps they're more appropriate for or be prepared for unnecessary headaches in my opinion. It's what CC recopmmends as well, avoiding organics that is.

Cool, thanks for that dude!, Its easy to get sucked into the hype with nutes, Ive done it before with AN and spent a fortune and to be honest i didnt see much difference. Cheers for that!. Im putting more time into researching the basics. NPK!. and how there available and what shows on the plant when there not!. Thanks bro!.

Ive got a slight def showing, I think its possibly P or K, Ive been using ionic bloom but hadnt used the PK boost at all yet as im only in week 2 of flower. So ive decided to go ahead and add some PK boost to the mix. I used Jorge Cervatis bible to diagnose the defs but if any one could have a check and help me out that would be great. Ive noticed the new growth around the flowering sites slightly twisted, Which can be poor ph but my ph is bang on and i re calibrated my Meter to make sure so thats not the prob. Im getting a slight reddening on the petioles of some of the girls, Not all of them and some slight redness to the stems. Again not all of them just a few. The newer leaves also look a bit small. And from the pics youll see the odd leave with rusty blotches and a slight yellowing. Its odd because only a few of the plants have it yet the ones next to them are 100% with no defs what so ever.
I know im being a bit anal about it but im trying to dial this in perfectly and understand how and why these things are coming about. so Ph is 5.8 letting it swing to 6.2 before bringing it back down. Base nutes are ionic bloom with PK boost now added. ppms are at 800 and the girls are drinking about 75 liters ish 24 hour period, Wilt gaurd and regenaroot are the protection. water is from the tap and comes out at 240ppm. co2 is 1200ppm and temps are 27c lights on 22c off. water temps are 65F

My nute temps are 65F Im running chillers inline with the system. Im gonna go for a full change out and flush tomorrow as its been 2 weeks since the last one. Ive got a lot of purple petioles which is either an N or P def but i would have thought the ionic range would have this covered.

when amber said nutes are too hot, he meant ppms are too high. also, when you see problems with new growth is not a deficiency. deficiencies start in older leaves. looks like a lockout to me most likely caused by the high ppms when your plants weren't quite ready. i know people will argue but ive never had good luck running city water in a dwc system. although that may be because mine comes or of the tap at 630 ppm. ouch!

no problem man, hope ya get it sorted out. also, i would honestly hold off on any of the "boosters" or additives. once you get the hang of the system and you're plants are really exploding everyday with new growth. then add a little of ONE thing to see the affect. it's a lot easier to diagnose problems that way.

What are peeps views on mix rates of base nutes and a booster for the UC??. For DWC i used to go in at 1.2 EC for base nutes and then add a booster up to the desired EC. Strain dependant i didnt exceed 1.8EC. I expect from what ive read and what im seeing from my own experiences this is far too high. Be interesting what you guys with the experience do??. Thanks again for the help guys the girls look fantastic this morning. Muchos appreciated!
Plus im liking the 500 scale for measuring the nutes, Far more accurate!.

I think our first week of flower we were at around 350, 2nd week around 400, 3rd will be around 5, and so on to peak at 600-800 range then back down til flush. On the down slope will take down the base but use more boosters. Still bringing the total ppms down.
