I always hear if you run 240v that it saves electricity? Im not sure this is true or not because 1000w is 1000w and they charge you by kilowatt witch is 1000w? I use to be an electrician for 5 years which is still an apprentice. I also took general electrical class but im not sure about this one. They say it doesn't save money on your bill but you can run smaller wire and its less strain on your equipment. Some electricians say they are not sure?
