I didn't look around that site too much, but I did see that Lumatek 1kw e-ballasts and Ushio 1kw hps bulbs are both priced higher than other sites.

Personally, aside from Amazon which is almost always the cheapest for any product available on the site, http://www.horticulturesource.com/ is one the cheapest I've found and they have a huge inventory. Their vortex fans are within a few dollars of the site you posted, albeit without shipping. http://www.horticulturesource.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=59

Thank you so much! I stumbled onto that site before and had it bookmarked on my phone. Broke my phone and could never find it again. Another good one to check out is propertyroom.com police auction website. Got a lumatek 1k adjustable 240v ballast for 80 bucks and another one that was 120/240 interchangeable for about 90. They aren't guaranteed but mine worked and are on their second grow now. New stuff every day so just cause you may only see one ballast today, maybe somebody gets busted and then ya got 20 lumateks up for auction.

Every dollar you give to propertyroom.com goes directly back to law enforcement (less property rooms cut) so in effect by shopping there you are supporting law enforcement and giving them the money to be able to destroy someone elses grow room legal or not.

It will also help pay to keep rapists and murderers in prison. Lol.

I in NO WAY support the law enforcements attempts or efforts to rid us of our god given right to grow our own high quality medicine. It is an intrusion on my rights as an american and is unjust! But come on man, don't call me out for tryin to save a buck on my equipment. I ain't got a job right now. Lol.

No, it won't. Proceeds from seizures are spent specifically on more drug enforcement activities, narc unit salaries, equipment, etc. Sometimes it gets spread around a little, but it never goes into budgets for incarceration.

Yes you do because you shop at property room, lol, that money does not go to prisons either,it goes directly back to the department that confiscated that particular equipments general fund so they can kick your door in and confiscate and sell it again, quite the racket huh?

And its the local level of officers who get people like that to put in prison. Fuck em for lockin up my homie but damn I'm glad they locked up the guy rapin kids.

He's not trolling, he's telling it how it is.

Let me guess: you shop at Walmart too because it's the cheapest place, don't you? Even though they are a proven blight on our community and pay slave wages... Naw, you don't care about that. You don't care who gets your money. As long as you get a better deal than the next guy can offer you.

Makes me fucking sick! Complicity in the theft of other peoples' equipment makes you an accessory after the fact. Deny it all you want, it is still the reality of the situation.

Let's be honest, those people that get busted are money hungry growers that are growing for greed. This is a plant and it should be free. Ive only grown for a short time, but you know what I did with all the extra medicine that was over my 24 oz personal limit? I GAVE it away to other patients that are friends of mine, over a pound. It costs next to nothing to grow and people like you are charging 300 a damn ounce. So don't even bring up the bullshit about saving money when you dont even know the half of it bud. And besides, this is THCfarmer! Not facebook! Why is everybody so dramatic? Im here simply to share experiences and ideas, not to argue with people about slave wages.

"those people that get busted are money hungry growers that are growing for greed"
That's a pretty big generalization, man. I don't think every person that gets equipment stolen by the cops is a "money hungry grower". I do know that there are a lot of people in our industry like that, but I'm not gonna say all of em are. That's just plain ignorant to assume something like that.

"It costs next to nothing to grow"
One more assumption that is completely off the mark. Indoor meds have considerable costs, especially at startup. I'm fortunate I don't pay much for power here in S. Wa, but some people I know pay three to four times as much as I do for power. $0.35/kw/h is FAR from cheap, bro.

"and people like you are charging 300 a damn ounce"
Actually, I don't believe high quality meds should cost more than $200 an ounce, retail to the consumer. And that means even TOP shelf meds.

I'm not sure how you lump me in with these "greedy growers growing for $$$", but that's pretty offensive. Lol. The reason this subject is so important is because giving any money to "propertyroom.com" is tantamount to donating to the very narc units that locked up your homie (well, I am assuming he was locked up over bud, which is why you mentioned him).

Dude the above people were stating a valid point and not attacking you .... all i can add is watch were you have it shipped as a even better racket would be for them to come confiscated again - so it leads to more cash .... i personally would never be comfortable buying a damn thing from police ..and to state that they took it from the greedy people in this business is bs - they take from whoever they choose

I'm not trying to hate because you bought at an auction, but personally I would never plug in any used grow equipment from anyone without fully disassembling it to look for a gps tracker or anything else fishy.

But reality is the vast majority of the funds from seizures goes straight to the drug task forces. They use it to buy flir, gps trackers, phone data dumpers (obviously), and vehicles, to pay informants and undercover officers salary and overtime. Sometimes portions get donated to community groups... like dare. It doesn't go to pay for dna tests in sexual assault or murder cases and it doesn't pay for those investigators. Your county might even have an annual report right on the web of how much they seized in cash, auction proceeds, and how it was all spent.
