I'm looking for high CBD strains in Washington State. Preferably those that counter nausea and loss of appetite. Also, does anyone know what strains have been used by those who have had cancer remission? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I second this question!
I want - a 15/1% CBD/THC strain to try. No high, but extreme body pain relief....
Lots of daily headaches/muscle pain...

Anyone have any recommendations on a strain I can pick up from THCbay here?

I'm going to have to bone up on low THC/ high CBD strains, myself.

IME with friends who had cancer, the variety didn't matter- pain relief, nausea control and appetite support came from any varieties we could get our hands on. The other thing was that if you're a multiple times a day user, that hard core high goes away after awhile.

I read about a few strains, but they seem very hard to get your hands on.. which makes total sense.. who the hell wants Ditch weed... well.. I DO! :)

Personally, the high part of the equation is welcome, too- it's not the escape from reality high, it's an experience enhancer, like you're doing something for the first time, no matter how routine the activity might be.

Not only am I not feeling crummy, but I'm okay with not being well for the moment. That's a huge mental burden that I find therapeutic to set aside for awhile...

There's nothing quite like smoking out a friend who's been puking his guts out from chemo/radiation treatments- and a few minutes later his color is back, there's a smile on his face and he says, "let's go to McDonald's!"

TTY: well said. No objections there. I tend to be more on the same level as a 1 year old after just 1 hit... couldn't drive a car if I had to.. :)

It's a tolerance thing. Part of it is your body getting used to it and the other part is you getting used to the high.

But you definitely have a Colorado Problem; the weed gets you too stoned! Good luck getting a lot of sympathy with that one! J/k lol I had to give you at least a little grief, lol

Harlequin (11.6% CBD - 8.4% THC) and Cannatonic (8.1% CBD and 6.9% THC) are two strains that have been around here for a few years now. Both are accepted as good CBD meds. You should be able to track these two down without too many problems.

For high CBD/low THC strains, there is AC/DC ( often mis-named "Charlottes Web" ) which has tested out at 19% CBD and 0.5% THC. The anti-inflammatory properties of this strain are really appealing to me. This one is slowly making it's way to the area. A few folks I know claim to have it, but that is worthless without testing. This strain is highly recommended for cancer patients.

I know that SourTsunami is local, but I don't know how well it helps. Blue Dynamite is supposed to be good also.

I am currently looking for The Remedy.

I would say that Cannatonic might be what you are looking for. It helps with nausea but I think you need some THC to help increase appetite.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I'll look into all of them. I read in another thread that NewHopeResearch out of Cali has: Harle-Tsu ( Sour Tsunami male and Harlequin clone.) which won the highest CBD test Award at The Emerald Cup with 20%CBD/1%tHC ratio. Sending them a message now to see if that can be found local. If anyone has info, please let me know. Thanks!

Seriously look into a real good Blue Kush i know theres one floating around up there knocks u down and out and i gained 15-20lbs last time i visited my mom blazeing some real blueberry muffin pheno it just inspires eating seriously id eat nuggs if i could. Blueberry on its own isnt a very couch lock strain but that kush cross combined with the blueberry muffin pheno was a sure fire plan for what ur looking for.

U will know if u have the right pheno it smells just like blueberry muffins and is some potent stuff

Without any lab reports documenting how much CBD is in each strain, I find those suspect. I think that Durban might have a good CBD content, but also high THC. More THC than CBD.

I can't verify anything from them, but it may be a better place to start.

I am probably going to try to get a few of the CBD MediHaze strain. They have a black Friday, save 20%.. so I will prob try for that.

Question, these say 'Feminized'. does that mean there would be no possible way to make these MALE to get seeds? You see where I am going with the hard to find CBD strain..

To the best of my knowledge, feminized means greater chance of females, not guaranteed females.

good luck finding a male in "fem" beans , not saying it's impossible (even though some people do) , but it's a huge long shot .. unless your growing cali con's cookies , lol , heard alot of pissed off people ranting they gotta lot of males from them fem beans
