newb near end of 1st UC grow yes when will it end ? drinking alot

Yep, read all about the longer flower in uc. I'm at the end of 9 weeks and the bulk of the crop is a 65 day strain I've grown before in a cabinet. I know it goes longer so I'll have to be patient. They had alot more frost on them
at this stage.
About a week ago I tried lowering res temps and water levels, I just raised them up abit, maybe should have waited. I can lower them again. By the way I'm using CS nutes
I don't use a res and whats happening is they are drinking mucho h2o and don't seem to be eating nutes. I take a couple gals out, replace with straight water w/uc roots and the ppms don't stay lower and my ph drops. I'm at 500-550 ppm and I have plenty of air movement.
From what I've read this says I need a nute changeout, tho I was trying to avoid it at this late stage because being my 1st run I used more nutes than I should have in the learning curve. I had been doing partials the last few weeks.
The one set of roots I can get at (doing a scrog) look good. Don't know if I should just really dilute the shit out of whats left in the system (or changeout), drop res temps to 59, lower water levels and see

Any advice would help and people here are really good that way. At some point I may want to try trees, but the way I set my 4x4 tent up, the modules (25in centers) may be too close to the sides

When are you going, or plan to chop ? you plan on running a few days with just ph'd water? make the plants eat themselves the last week.

The bulk of the crop hasn't had amber trichs or the amount of frost I want yet so whatever plan I had to flush seems delayed

well, you could dump half the system, never do this myself, but if you are at your last stretch, do a fresh Res, 2 weeks with nutes, 3rd week flush... if your plants are on track

Soooo when you mentioned 'drinking a lot', were you referring to you or the plants? :eek:

Seriously, you don't want to see amber trichs before you flush; it's too late. Initiate your flush now, that will stimulate your plants to finish. FWIW, I flush with 1/4 to 1/2 strength nutes, minimizing N.

Thanks haze, no shots, too much to do my first go. I was terribly sick with a respiratory infection/pneumonia....it was a comedy the dopey shit I did cause I couldn't think straight....I wanted to work more on the scrog, too many bunches but next time I'll have 1 strain, 50 day cycle and I plan on doing a better
