When did they quit making Hammerhead? I have been using a Soul Synthetics Big Swell/MOAB combo myself.

I remember reading something about this a while ago and my hydro store guy also told me about a month ago.
I'm wondering what product is a good replacement. I'd love to hear frm so
Rome that has used HH/MOAB and now switched to something else.

I can tell ya this, I have been using the Fire for over a year now, by itself the stuff rocks, can't wait to try it with the (Farmer MOAB) hehehe the homemade...:p

thanks man, i think ill give it a whirl. Ive been wanting to play with salts like map, but I've seen ppl make to many mistakes on the learning curve. also, with that farmer Map imitation MOAb, i know the numbers r similar NPK, but i honestly think MOAB might have something in it not on the label, the swell it gives seems like no other and I've tried a few with similar npk.

I've used Hammerhead/MOAB, FIRE/MOAB, and a while back I used Shark Attack/MOAB. The shark attack is cheap and the results are just like Hammerhead. Fire seemed to lend more towards a better qualtiy bud in the end though. Please note that Oscar and I are running different formulations of Fire. He still has the old formula, and I'm a wee bit jealous because I think it was better than the new one.

Also like Oscar....I will be making my own MOAB here soon as I just ordered 40lbs of MKP and 4lbs of MAP for a little more than what you would pay for 5lbs of MOAB. It's amazing how much they mark this shit up.

edit: Almost forgot......shark attack is a powder formulation from Greenleaf Nutrients.

I picked up a container of Moab at the grow store to read what all the fuss is about and said huh .gotta be something they don't list on the ingredients.

What is a bloom stimulator? What makes it different than your normal PK boost?
Also i have read through this but want to exercise caution; I run my base (GH Micro & Bloom) at 50% and then mix 1ml a gallon of moab and ??? ml Fire. Is this a safe starting point and then with every watering ramp up my base a little bit. Or just hold on and ride it out at that ratio?

Bloom Stimulators stimulate the initial earlier flowering phase (Weeks 2-6,7) used as building blocks for higher sugar content, resin, weight and better quality over all.

PK boosters are use as a bulking/Ripening agents or in MOAB case "Bloom Enhancer/Ripening agent" later in flower (Weeks 5-7) use to bulk up the end harvest weight, give buds more size, smell, density over all bloom enhancement.

Read the plant only up the base if you observe rapid premature yellowing. Don't over compensate with base either just try to nail it next run.

Ok in the past i have had yellowing occur. I kicked back off the moab and ran the base at 1/2 strength but they didnt seem to respond well. If i am not mistaken you are saying to increase the base slowly to try and keep it green?

Yes slowly, but from my experience the plant will continue to fade some anyway. One of the reasons I said don't press the issue unless it's rapidly fading way early, IMO during late flowering an early fade won't hurt. Dial her in next round and kiss the early fade goodbye!
