Bad stuff! Not only does it kill your bennies but they don't mix. It will break down over time but it's not the right stuff. Sulfates in macro amounts are ok but in the portions your adding, it's a Bennie killer. 2% is the max.

I had gotten it to try it raw version. that is interesting. the cal mag+ is both nitrate form

Didn't learn about benies until roots excelurator came out for H&G give or take 3 years. I see a lot of people going crazy for them on the forum everywhere.
Running two UC systems now. I was reading about people putting teas in the UC and lava rocks, stuff I need to look into

"Magnesium Nitrate is 100% water soluble fertilizer."

The maximum amount of Sulfur or sulfates you can have is 2%. Anything over 2% will nuke your bennies. Botanicare is smart and they placed it exactly right at 2%.

"In this case, a minimum of three tanks is required. Calcium nitrate is incompatible with both MAP and Magnesium sulfate."
I can find many other sources that say Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Sulfate are incompatible.

This is the alchemist training and research I'm diving into now. Taking another step up the ladder.

This thread is packed full of information (that good info like this is what I used and this is what happened) I just had to say something so I can find it again.

We had some fun this evening! Made swapping 600gb worth of music and movies a lot more entertaining.

Hey I hear about what your saying they cant be mixed but flora nova one part and veg plus bloom mix calcium nitrate and mag sulfate together

Here's a pm I answered, if anyone is wondering which is cheaper?

Shooting Powder VS MOAB

MOAB: 4grams per 5 gallons.
20grams for 25 gallons
125 Gallons for 1 100gram container $18

Shooting Powder: 65grams per pack
25 gallons for 1 pack.

125gallons for 5 pack at $60

Shooting Powder $60 125 gallons
MOAB $18 125 gallons

The MOAB works better IMO.

U sold me Imma switching that if i continue to run house. V.A.T. taxes and shipping don't help, I wonder how much it is before crossing the Atlantic.

They are flat out saving a buck because magnesium sulfate is insanely cheaper than magnesium nitrate. Magnesium sulfate will break down over time. It's just that the magnesium is not readily available. Calcium nitrate should be available, the MgSO4 is not completely water soluble. By mixing Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Sulfate together, they are 100% water soluable. I honestly don't like General Hydro, it works but its generic. You almost always get what you pay for. Most people would not know that if they went over 2% sulfates that their beneficial organisms would die.

That's why I use Botanicare Cal/Mag because it's the right stuff. I'm sure there are a few others that use magnesium nitrate but I don't know which brands do because I only use botanicare.

Hey I was wondering where you read this info .......From what I read its high phosphorous that kills bennies, cant recall reading sulfates killing bennies above 2%.
Ive always hear of people increasing their sulfate(sulfur) for increased taste and aroma. Not knocking your philisophy just always trying to learn.

I was asked which one is cheaper. While it did look like the MOAB was more expensive, it's not after the break down.

Just get the Free sample. They send you a whole bunch of stuff plus the 100grams of MOAB, enough for 125gsllons. You do have to pay for shipping and if youre out of the States, I'm not sure how much they will charge. It's only $18 on Ebay.

I don't remember where I read it but I probably got it a reliable source that ended in EDU.

Increasing sulphur during flower does increase taste and aroma to an extent, that extent is 2%. Think about it, Botanicare is smart, why did they stop at 2%? Because that's the magic number before problems set in.

Ever hear when feeding your plants molasses to use unsulphured molasses? Unsulphured is the key word.

Before people had antibiotics they took sulfur pills!

Because Sulfur kills microbes, viruses and bacteria. That's exactly why you use sulfur free molasses. The molasses is not for the plant, it's food for the microbes.

so hitting it with a moab style product won't kill benies or just at a lower rate. I could search for it but I'm trying to wire 240v

So before they came out with all these boosters, it would have to be a pilgrimage just to find blackstrap molasses.
Now everyone is messing with boosters that aren't all readily avail either.
It could be the greens but I think that is hysterical.
So know we delve into the realm of synthetic vs. organic.

and it goes on and on and on...:banghead:

Here's how you add these. I forgot to add because I run OG's, they are Magnesium whores. I also use Botanicare Cal/Mag at 3ml for small plants and 5ml for large plants.

Add your Cal/Mag first, then wait 15min. Then add Cocos A, wait 15 min. Then add Cocos B. PH between 5.5-6.0 it doesn't have to be perfect at this point, just in range. Now add all your additives one at a time and stir them in, I always add my silica last. Now PH. Wait 30min, PH again. Wait 15min double check PH again.

Shoudl add silica first brother. Nice post!

Also if you use my bennies you can drop all the other beneficials (GW etc). Shit is waaay more concentrated and about half the price.

I'd like to see it 2, I'm just doing some wiring and trying to take these photos.
I read my calendar wrong by a week and had given the shooting powder for a feeding before the top booster (never done that before, spaced) and i had gotten these calyxes that split off, I don't even know if you'd call it rattail.
The indices calyxes didn't spray off

I would use Amino Treatment by house. Silica additive
I was told that silica fills the stalks and can mute flavors.
I have 500lbs of real Diatomite.
I haven't used it yet cuz off fear of clogging emitters, and grinding pumps.
