:bag: Damn I love pollen chucking....popped a bunch of unknowns until I lockdown my environment and then I'll pop the professionals seed breeder seeds then pollen chuck away!!!:bookworm:
I don't know whethr two keep males or not I have stored pollen but who knows if it's still viable :banghead:

Depending how you stored pollen, it can remain viable for several years. We use desiccants pouches with a little flour mixed in, bottom shelf of an old fridge.

Stored in glass in freezer, pollen was dry but not filtered of vegetation so there's a few pods in with pollen

always clean your pollen before storing or you could end up with moldy/clumped up unusable pollen. remove all dirt and especially ANY sac that fell into your pollen while collecting.

If I don't see any mold with naked eye should I be safe or toss it regardless?

do you have a pic?.

if your not seeing any mold then the chances are good that you dont have any, you will know it wont be hard to see.

if your pollen every just clumps up then ya its trash time, condensation has gottan to it some how.

Their burried in a packed storage that's dark dry and cold...I should get to it before it warms then I'll take a pic probly in the next month or so....peace and thanks for the feedback jaws

ya man don't go bothering it if ya got it stored already, just hope you cleaned and dried it fully before hand.


i only get my pollen's out right as i need them and once i use what i need i give it minutes in the open air before i reclose and place back into the frig.

often times when you open your container it will quickly show condensation on the inside of the container holding the pollen, this happens because of temp changes. so i always allow the moisture to evaperate before place the lid back on the container.

Hello, hello fellow chuckers and plant fuckers.

really though I am new to this forum and usually tend to gravitate towards the pollen chucking threads even though besides a couple of selfed seeds here and there the only cross I personally have of my own so far is my timeout (tga timewreck x sannies kokush f4) which I am stoked to have a go at once I free up some space.
