Hi everyone I heard some people said if u running 24 hrs n u switch to 18 /6 u have to go down slow on the hrs like saying from 24 hr u have to knock down a hour a week? I always had it in 24 hr and then went stright to 18/6 n it's fine but some one told me it gonna flower lol never heard of that what do y'all think

LOL I only made the switch from vegging 24/0 to 18/6 once ,and I just did it. My plants seemed to handle it just fine and I think I do better on 18/6 than I did on 24/0.

Did the same, plants never had a issue and I save 6 hours of power usage a day

Piscis hit the nail on the head. A dark period is necessary tho. I just read a study on the calvin cycle and how your dark period increases photosynthesis. Interesting stuff.

I get the best results veggin on 18 on 6 of plants need to sleep just like us

I know this is gonna sound weird, but plants don't sleep.....not really, to be honest they build faster at night. During the day they store energy and build at the same time, splitting the plants work load. However during the night, their is no light energy to gather so it spends all its energy building itself. But it needs to be charged, kinda like a cell phone or it will die. Which is what the day time is for. As far as switching from 24-0 to 18-6, no, you can switch with out worry. The plant recognizes more light than dark, so you will be fine.

It should also be noted that just like a cell phone, the plant has a energy capacity, so 20-4 is wasting light.
