I'm sure I'll get shit for this, but I hate cookies. I have seen a lot of very good cookie crosses though, so for breeding purposes I enjoy some cookie. There are a lot of other strains I would prefer to run though other than cookies.

No matter how big your cookies get, they are still small. That's why I am not a fan. I can post "huge" cookie nugs up, but if I put them next to my FPOG #10, Jew Gold, True, wifi, starfighter... or ANY other strain I run... they will no longer look big, they will look tiny. Even the fact that they are dense as rocks doesn't matter. To get any kind of yield you have to top 3 times and veg 8 weeks, and then pray you don't get cookie crumbs. I have ran cookies for a year now and so I am not talkin out of my ass. Show me a cookie as big as a water bottle and I will eat my hat.

I am running my first animal cookies right now and it is hands down better in the stacking dept and is not as finicky either.

I hear ya Cap. I want bottle size nugs too.
I dont plan on having many forum trees this summer
gotta have at least a couple though

some guys cant get animal cookies :(

Yeah buddy the more cookies I put in my room the less I got out of them. Just a fact and anyone who has ran cookies knows what I am saying is the gospel.

@Capulator ; Dop you know of other strains that do well in low light like cookies does?
Cookies was the the best for me during the winter outside
Im wondering what else would do well

Thats a good question, and yeah cookies does good in low light, but that might mean it is just a really light feeder. Putting a cookie under a 1k and you need to cut nutes waaay back.

I remember having a couple strains that gave me more off a 600 than a 1k but I need to remember what they were. I'll PM you when I think of it.

ken how are you running in the winter w/ hrs of sun per day ? the hrs of light per day including dawn & dusk must be increasing or decreasing in the timeframe of a flowering cycle ,..... are you controlling times with a tent or tarp or just letting them grow under the sun ?

i think your daylight times were increasing over the last few months unless they are on 12's it fucks them up .... the plant has sensors within the leaf & even the slightest change is recorded within the plant so it can adjust everything internal regarding flower..

BUT, having run 12's outdoors many times it's a huge, huge pain in the ass & must be done on time every day, no matter how u feel, parties, life , lol, or they get messed up. my 12 were not perfectly timed every single day, but it takes someone doing tarps / tents at lest twice a day for 80 days or so.

The good thing I can say about the cookies, same one I think Goo is rocking is that outside in full season she needs nothing to be trimmed. Literally trimmed her 3x's as fast as everything else. Anyway nice work goo, that leaf pattern is so telling on the cookies.

Yep...If you look at the photo in post#85 you can see the 10ml black plastic.
Im covering them every day for 14 hours!
They only get 10 hours light..(long story)

Yes, they would reveg if I wasnt covering them. because of the increasing lenth of days
Still could reveg...but cookies are pretty stable..I never have a problem with them reveging or herming from light leaks. I have with other strains though

@Capulator - my homie is droppin chem sized nugs with forum cut. His lowers are bigger than any tops iv seen on the forums...guess the rest of use just havent nailed her yet. Curious to see what he does with animal.

cookies yields fine because of the zero larf factor... but I agree on the longer veg and lower density planting being major components of success.

...posted the pic before, but that room provided 1.4gpw on its final run. It was the forum cut, 12 plants total with 42 day veg in rockwool under t5's, light feeds of canna substra flores from clone to flush, a small bottle of liquid kool bloom dosed over the 2nd week bloom, sea green a few times a week, hibrix, OGBIOWAR root pack and great white bennies. The bennies were applied daily because the setup was dtw... ha....no brewing, just tossed em in after mixing nutes. The sheer volume of bennies I used made you a mint @Capulator ...lol...at least the cookies are making you rich somehow :)

I'm positive that if I vegged them under the scrog screen and topped a few more times I would have banged even more.
