Don't think it's mites.
If it's just a few old veg then it's nothing. Grow past the insult.
If it's evident in fresh growth, then you have a nutrient or ph problem.
I think.

So i found a random bag seed beaner and said lets see if gatsby the barrel cactus will companion plant with this beaner, I believe she is in week 4 of 12/12 and the chlorophyl being pulled from those fans has me sketched honestly, could this be two pronged prob of nute def/and soil pests? i ask because the promix the cactus is in is 2 years old, and he goes outside on bright sunny days so there def the chance for hitchhiking creepy crawlys!

Plants tend to pull N starting in mid flower. Flowing in a solo isn't helping ur cause either but good luck regardless.

2 gallon maple butter bucket, ya know tho...........im sure a transplant is feasable to a 5 -10 gallon smartpot. Thanku deacon for your insight, spot on tho, this particular growing experiment was flawed. Ive added basil into the mix as a companion to my cherry tomatoes..makes em taste better imho. I am a big organic only/companion planting ,sourcing my n-p-k from my compost bin mostly, have been very fortunate with pest issues so far, can someone sourse or help me with a link for herbs/plants that deter pests that can also be used safley as cannabis cmpanion plants? Stinging nettle has been an awesome companion plant that dosnt bother me much, however the wife is deathly allergic so no go there! Thanks folks! Love your help!

The angle got me it looked like a little foam solo. I'll look into the stringing nettle as well.

Great tip with the basil for tomatoes.

I am assuming that these little things are Root Aphids. Tell me if i am wrong but 6 legs and they sure as hell like airpots because it gives them access to the whole root ball. Think i am going back to hard buckets with Gnat-nix.
Gnat or RA 1
Gnat or RA 2

I made a cardinal sin last week and brought a bucket of tomatoe plant inside the hps to recover from a fight with a cat it lost............see lil fuckers flying around exactly like the pic above! What a nightmare.

Those look like fungus gnats to me, brother. Let me assure you, they can DECIMATE a grow or plant material. I've got them naturally, EVERYWHERE. A month ago my folks sold their home of 40yrs, so I asked my mother for some iris rhizomes from her prettiest irises. She sent me three HUGE bags, stuffed completely full. I wasn't able to plant them right away, so I stuck them on the floor in my garage, to keep them cool and prevent any scorching, etc.

The other day I discovered fucking goo coming out of the bags, opened them up, COMPLETELY infested with FGs, all rhizomes completely and totally ruined. Totally.

They've killed more indoor seedling starts than I can count at this point.

Question farm....

it appears i have some fungus gnats. It's my own fault i over watered when transplanted and she never really dried up well so these fungus gnats took off. Soil's infested got larvae and flying fuckers.

Veg room has been shut DOWN! all plants removed lights off... All plants have been moved to quarantined area. They appear to have laid eggs in EVERY pot across my veg room. I don't want to lose my Purple Crack but it is the worst hit and where they started. Any advice farm?

Here's what I've done so far...

-moved plants out of veg room
-tilled top soil layer and sprayed with (water/peppermint oil/cinnamon)
-mix 100% dry sand into tilled soil
-apply layer of dry sand
-moved to new location (quarantine area)

Later today I'm going to completely clean my grow room, I'm not willing to let these assassin bugs make this place their home. It won't be long til they're all dead right since i took my plants out the little fly's will try to go home but 'home' is gone. So they're gonna die right?

Pics:
Got some pretty bad algae... I don't like soil/compost for indoor growing... will NOT be using again.

Definitely fungus gnats. Grab yourself something with Bti in it - Gnatrol, Gnatoff, OG Biowar, etc. Apply at least twice, spaced five days apart. Gnats are easy to eliminate, but if you want a long term solution you probably need to change your environmental conditions. Wet, over-fertilized, peat or coco-based mixes are perfect for them.

thnx for the info @ethnoman gonna check into them... Yea this is my first time using soil... I overwatered once and there was no going back. My first grow was with promix potting mix, gonna go back to that for my next run.
