Still in disbelief, had to youtube it this morning... I'm blown away how strongly a TV show could impact my emotions, well done.

In a traditional TV series Jaimie would have some trick up his sleeve to save his brother but I just don't see this coming out favorable to the viewer's.

I've told myself I was going to purchase the books after this season's over.. Hope you're right Squiggs.

I can't keep up with my TWO magazine subscriptions, how am I gonna incorporate a huge series of books and not spend my life sitting on my ass? :o

I'm not kidding about that. I am known to finish a book in a night, especially if it's a "can't put it down" kinda book. I need to sleep, damn it!

Yes, blown away by the ending. No episode yet left me feeling quite so shocked and disturbed. I really liked that character, but as soon as I saw him prancing around, instead of finishing it off, I knew it was going to end badly...and yet it was still shocking and thoroughly brutal.

Well... The Red Wedding was easily as shocking and disturbing for me. Much of what is depicted is fairly brutal to my eyes, but I agree, I was really liking Oberyn quite a lot.

I think now we can expect bad things to happen between King's Landing and Dorne.

I can do Kindle, brother. We've got Prime and I got a whole $0.73 awarded to me via the class action suit, too, so I'm rollin' high.

Same....."Stop fucking around" I kept saying...

Side note: apparently the actor who plays The Mountain is the second strongest man in the world. 6'8" 400lbs

Imagine taking a punch from that guy..

Ya he could probably knock all your teeth out in one hit and then crush your head in from the eye sockets, all while chillin on his back with half a spear in his stomach. I seen't it.

Ok, so last night's episode has actually left me pissed off. Because there's only gonna be ONE left to go and then we have to wait another year! WTF?

Well, at least there's Penny Dreadful to keep me entertained in the meantime, and Homeland should be coming up again soon.

My favorite thing about the series is that it's a great companion to the books.

So often when you read something you're bracing yourself to be disappointed by the filmed adaptation.

The books are written from multiple perspectives (IE the pespective of Sansa, Daenerys, Ned, etc.) even while it's still written in the third person you still get a good bit of inner dialogue and the story has a differenquiggleyt flow when you're jumping from a Sansa chapter to an Arya chapter.

The show takes a bird's eye view perspective more often than not and while you're still doing a lot of the jumping from story to story it's a bit more fluid than the book. It really does flesh out a lot of things that are missing in the books and vice versa.

For every scene missing in the adaptation, they add a new scene that never appeared in the book--or so it seems to me. This lends even MORE character development which is a feat considering the way the books are written. I can't say enough about the awesomeness of both formats in this series. It's just great.

For those of you who aren't reading the books, I suggest that you do--and not in the snobby way people usually suggest this. I really think the companion aspect that I feel in the show with regard to the books will work in the reverse way as well. If you're a fan then you're missing out by not reading it. Wonderfully written, wonderfully adapted, wonderfully acted.

A+ all around from me.
Agree Squig there are so many people it was confusing in the books ,so the show is fun keeps them coming ...but dif they have added things to the shows that was not in book I think been a few yrs since i read them.. Oweeee can't wait ..
