I need help with 12" MaxFan with 12" Can Lite

This is my first time using the both the can lite and max fan . The 12" can lite has a built in flange which is bigger than the 12" max fan. Has anyone paired these two together yet?

I has the same issues with the 10" max fan.

how did you mount it? I was looking for ideas on hooking it straight to the filter without ducting. Im trying to avoid bracing the fan to the wall due to that side being an insanely nosy neighbor

It was a while ago I think I had to re-do my design bc of it. The back would fit but not the front to my normal 10" duct fittings. If both pieces are from Can, I'd call them and see whats up, they're out of Sacramento. Or just get really creative. :)

thanks deacon, so the ducting would only fit on one side of the fan? I almost had to find out the hard way, you just saved me at least 60 bucks on some useless ducting. I'll have to shoot them a call
