Can the water be to cold in an aero cloner and prevent root growth? I know it can be to hot, there are several posts on it and in some they say to use a water chiller so I wouldn't think really cold temps would effect root growth. I live in the mountains and with my heater on hi I'm only able to keep my room at 70 right now so I assume my water temp is way lower. I haven't seen any roots on my new batch of clones and I didn't know if the water might be to cold? Thanks

Yea the cold stops root growth, slows the growth the colder it gets, too cold and it stops completely,76

I converted my 25 site Botanicare aerocloner to a bubbler but to answer your question, yes.

The water in the cloner won't be any colder than the surrounding air (unless it is on a cold floor) and the constantly running water pump will add some heat. But when my cloner water is at 70 the cuttings stay nice and green although they don't do anything. I have a four gallon bubble cloner now heated by a 25W submersible aquarium heater with a remote digital thermometer. Set at 79F, the water is running just under 80F in a 71F room.

Aquarium heater! Brilliant! This is why I come to this site. My cloner does sit on a cold floor. Thanks so much for the advise I'll buy one next time I'm in town
