the more and more i see ppl asking questions about grows, or sick plants...yet they never bothered to read up and do their homework first?.....i spent 3 years studying about plants, growing, and weed growing, before i ever grew a single plant, and i never had any forums to use when i started either...then before i did my first ever crop inside, i spent 3 years on overgrow learning before i set up my first room....far too many ppl these days remind me of young kinds jumping on the fad train......they want it all easy but aint willing to put in the work

Ya and those are the people that will fail the hardest. Just like on another thread here i posted. If theres no passion theres no succes. Everyone can have a passion to smoke. Only a select few will be willing to live our life style and stay sane, while at time same time killin it With fire.

What if they spend hours reading journals and mimicking their grows to that style only to find out the grow they copied sucks ass lol.
as long as i been on pot forums there has always been newbies asking dumb questions or looking for shortcuts.did we really need another newb bashing thread.just skip those posts and you wont feel angry or cheated because you had to work harder at it then they did lol.if you were on overgrow and you truly wanted to overgrow the gov then teach as many newbs as you can,guide them to threads that are specific to thier questions or just answer them yourself .
Or just make threads asking for free nute samples then tell us all how you wont go to trade shows or cross borders or ask your grow store for samples.yet you have multiple 20kw grows under your belt lmao.those rooms should be supporting the cost of any nute line you desire ; )

exactly, i love flowers, and gardening....i have since i was about 6 years old...im the only person in the family with any kind of green thumb, but its prett good too lol....weed is just an extention of my love for gardening and my need for weed....if i wasnt such a big meat eater i would garden all day every day just to eat lol

btw, i do help a lot of ppl, and have wrote up a few good articles/threads...ive helped hundreds if not thousands...but im not about to be someones google, if they cant use it for them self


just because i have the money to spend, does not mean i should spend it foolishly on samples and new things just because its the new thing...thats why i wanted to see how ppl were getting samples....if you think that having more money means you should spend more....they the nute companies must love you lol....
being on parole aint no thing, you cant just leave town, let alone the country, also lets not forget that the usa border does not allow ppl like me with my record in your country lol....so no idea where you were going with this...

and if anyone who has a good knowledge about growing plants(not just weed lol) then they would know its not about what you spend that gets you a good crops...the amount you spend has a direct correlation to how much your produce is costing you to grow....

and if you dont know me or how long i been around, i really dsont care...yes i got multiple 20kw grows..big deal...you talk as if that means something?ive been growing for over 20 years...thats where my experience comes in...btu when i started, i read and did my homework....too many ppl are jumping on the forums and expecting help without looking at any of the stickies even....they dont even google, they just ask and ask and ask........

Well i mentioned all that because you mentioned all that shit about 20k grows but then you gave a million reasons why you cant get free samples like the rest of us.email that company i linked and tell em how much time you spend on this forum and how much nutes your using in your 20kw grows,i bet they send you gallons of the stuff.by the way i run a 10kw bloom and 2kw veg for about 30 bucks a month in nutes.so maybe you need to do some homework,my chores are done and its the weekend :)

yeah we pay about the same for nutes then...i love me them dry salts :D lol but yes im from canada, and they do not have any trade shows here in my area, at all...im not gonna drive 3 days accross the country to vancouver, even then dont know the last time they had a trade show...and i have emailed a few companies abotu samples, but all i was interested in was their additives, i was not interested in anything else....instead of begging, i will either buy, or not buy...but will not beg, lol if i really want it ill buy it... and i no longer am at a 20 kw room(if you wanted to see that room you can google, 19kw of pure pleasure) i have since moved and had to downsize my grow to a total of 8kw bloom and 2kw veg/momma...room size does not make you more knowledgeable...attention to detail and a passion for what you do will ;)
and if you look at icmag, you will notice i have numerous stickies, and "how to's" posted up...i would find it very redundant to copy paste each thread to each forum i am at..................im all for helping ppl, i love helping ppl, i give away free shit all the time, help ppl with clones for free, give out ziplock bags of beans for free, give out tons of info for free.....but if your going to ask me what color the sky is, and not have the common courtesy to look up and see for your self...

I am lucky to have a used Hydro store in my area, called Regen. Its in Freemont (SEATTLE) and a nice guy that works there , super cool, he cracks me up when I talk to him about growing and his business.
He told me almost 99% of the gear he sells is from newbie growers that threw in the towel after 6 months of trying to grow.
and its about 80% of his business to newbies. He said that its because they are too involved in social media and like Joe said they look at pictures and a good forum thead of someones garden they admire and then they try to grow exactly that way and think its easy and can do it but 80 percent FAIL not understanding how INVOLVED it is.
but who cares.. only ones that are serious about making it happen will and I think that can be said for any hobby or goal you take on.
Im busting my ass trying to keep up with Jillian Michaels 6 pack in 6 weeks. its the same thing. I wont achieve my goal unless im willing to put in the time and effort.

at the risk of making myself unpopular .We just had a similar thread shamus started . Poor old newbs are coping it everywhere . Ive been growing 20 odd years but indoors is new to me . So lets not have the situation were potential new members get confronted with a whole lot of lazy ass newb posts . Quite often i ask a question to clarify what ive been reading seeing posted then spend the rest of the night checking the info surfing the web . Maybe a sticky that says "so your new well we cant tell u how much you will get off a 3x3 grow with a 600 watt light cause we are still trying to work out how long the ball of string is . lol respect . I have also helped many a grower with seeds and equipment and whatever knowledge i have.i actually got those sample for just their humic product aand gave the rest away.
more of us need to be like @Tnelz ,him and his crew and his thread about whatever.those guys take any newb that posts up in there under their wings and give them free advice and guidance and answer even the dumbest questions.we could all learn from those cats.peace

First I'd like to say thanks to @sixstring for the props. It's funny cuz that's not what that thread was supposed to be for and if u read from the start it's not entirely like that but as of late it's kind of morphed into that. Any way they are quite a few posts that I agree with here and some at shamus thread. I don't mind because my thread is about whatever literally. Lol. I just don't want us all to loose sight that at some point we were all news and asked a lot of the sake questions. If people didn't help me in the beginning I would've been screwed. The more growers we have helps the culture as a whole. Every grow effects someone outside the culture in some way that pushes the culture forward. A lot of growers here can truly grow their ass off and I have a ton of respect for all of u. But even the best here like @waayne and @Andy Genesis @Seamaiden ect help people all the time. We should never turn our nose up cuz we know how to grow. Sometimes it gets a little crazy I agree but it's very easy to point someone in the right direction. We shouldn't turn people off. Just my 2 cents. Respect and good vibes to all.

The fad grower's won't last because it's to much work, but there's a handful of noobs that will become good grower's and I feel like it's our responsibility to help because it only pushes our culture further and help get meds to people who need it.

I read thee different books, and spent probably over 250 hours lurking before I make my first post on a different website. Tack on another 6 months of lurking the farm before I attempted my first solo run. I made COUNTLESS mistakes, and was called out on a few things....and to be honest that is where I learned the MOST.

People think they can watch a youtube video and do anything after watching it nowadays. They think all the information on the web will save them. But in the end.....experience and screwing things up are where people really LEARN.

Sometimes I get a little bent at the newbs posting questions before researching, but I also can empathize, in the regards of not knowing what the hell is going on and or how the hell to research what the hell is going on.

There are people here who have helped me tremendously with things, some I got mad at when they were offering there 2 cents...but in the end I am grateful for each and every one of you. Because of that gratitude.....I do my best to help others on here when I can.

Until you have knowledge.i wonder how a few of these threads would do at icmag like the one from the other day or this one.new members reading these types of threads will most likely go elsewhere or just lurk forever.imo if you dont want to help dont read those threads or questions or skim over them.the one that bugs me the most is the fucking classic "use the search funtion" news flash,the search here is kinda lame.someone made mention of waayne and seamaiden,those 2 go above and beyond to answer questions.i dig that shit.this,not so much.its been a turn off to me at this site lately and frankly im done sitting back while some well known farmers act like they are above answering silly questions.so im gunna continue to speak on it until they ban me....again lol.

Whenever I get a basic growing question I tell the person to grow some tomatoes before they start growing cannabis. If you can grow tasty tomatoes you can do the same with bud.

thread were taken the wrong way to some people. I get that you have questions and i said it time and time agian, its all here from you if you look. If you did and you have and still reach an impass then ya post the question. Even if not then maybe ask where you can aquire said information.

Hell ya we gotta help everyone we can, i have only asked for help a select few times and was humbled by the info i got. Our community relies on this sharing, not clone hoarding and technique hiding. We are the future. NOBODY i repeat nobody is telling anyone to fuck off. this isnt icmag or some other ego lovin forum its thc farmer.

So in conclusion i am saying that we are not your waiters, especially when people begin to insukt us cause we didnt respond to there question fast enough.
Also people that get mad becuase we ask for more info and they are afraid to give a straight answer due to ignorence or shame that there garden is not up to par.
Well cant help you there. Theres a difference between a noob and someone trying to make a quick buck off of others knowledge. If and when your in it for the long haul you wont need to ask so many questions cause you live the answers.
