Pullin up a chair and packing a bowl I'm lookin forward to these especially the fems I got the same ones goin on the side, critical sensi star, g. Purple kush and starbud. I've grown the critical sensi star before and loved everything about it from the plant itself to the smoke. The Grizzly purple kush has a pretty exotic smell when I rub the leaf and she's only about 6 inches tall right now. Subbed for this grow

Not much going on yet. There was a heat wave, So Cal, so I had to fight some temps in the old man cave. I found some cool DIY vids on the tube

- pretty cool, I think, so I may give it a try since it can be pretty cheaply made and tweaked to preference/need.

The plants took a little bit of a hit from the heat, but the worst of it happened right as the first set after the cotyls came out, and just before the second real set started. So the second set was 90-95% unscathed. Plants are doing well.

Thanks! I am always hoping for the best (but prepared for the worst :) ) and it is reassuring to hear. Everything I read on it points to a good overall plant.

I use closed container ice like the video, a plastic 1 gallon of orange juice (or milk, same thing). And I noticed it actually pulls moisture from the outside air, as it leaves some in the bucket after the ice is done-for. But since there is moisture in the bucket afterwards, I can only conclude that it takes out more [moisture] than it passes through. BUUUUT I noticed that it does not put out as cold of air as it seems in the video. I have not completed mine yet, but just the skeleton design seemed like it would be colder than it actually is. I am going to try adding two regular sized water bottles in addition to see if it helps. And the liner plus the piping may help too. It just seems like the liner wouldn't really be too much of a factor since the air cycles/replenishes the 4 gallon (5-gallon minus the 1 gallon ice) chamber in a second or two. Sot he air doesn't sit long rnough to lose too many degrees in the process. I think the pipes might help to cycle the air better... so maybe it will get better. I will post again on this thread about it in the near future.


LOL dry ice would definitely be a great help to the plants, isn't it compressed/solidified carbon dioxide... but it would become an additional cost, not sure if it would be significant enough to matter though, cost-wise.

They got an up-potting yesterday, took pics. And today, they are all very happy and that much bigger. They are starting to get the growing in them.

I moved "O" to a better spot, more direct light. I didn't want any other O's feeling discriminated against...

Nope, not yet. First clones come tomorrow or the next day.

PS: When I do, I will clone the MT also. I wanted to give it a few extra days to grow vigorously before I clone her, but she is ready when these are.

OK, going to do some cloning tonight, and I wanted to give the lineup. No pics yet, will definitely take some after cloning. Since hobby breeding is a thing for me right now, I want to list a few observations real fast, even if just for my own written reference.

So, here are the observations on this current day, the 14th of April, 2015 at approx. 5:30 pm EST in California, in direct relation to the birth-dates of each individual aforementioned possible variation of phenotype of the cannabis plants here named: Tangerine Power, Critical Sensi Star, and Starbud.

Tallest - "H"
Most branching - "L"
Leggiest - CSS
Bushiest - "L"
Tightest nodes (also the most uniformly spaced - just beautiful) - "K"
Thickest stalk - "B"
Weakest overall grower - CSS
Strogest overall grower - "B"

I have read somewhere that males that have female parts also can be good breeders. Wish I could find where I read that, but it may be worth looking into... But if it relates to possible hermies in the offspring, I can do without.

Cloning Day!

"H," "K," and "M" are my predictions for greatness, only based on what I can see so far. Look at those huge, hollow stems... ("K" is up for All-star)

On the flip side, "B" has pith all the way up to the top two nodes.

For all you flooring specialists out there, I know it is old asbestos glue. I heard it makes you run faster and plants grow bigger, like radiation poisoning does.

First few days are always the toughest, just reporting the clones are looking great. "k" "b" and "h" are doing especially well, reaching up towards the light like they can't get enough!

Only one in the far back, I think the css, drooped and turned back upwards all in the first night before I got a chance to mist, so great!!

I found it! I went looking just for you... You would be happy to know my company paid for the time to find this, while I was taking a shit break, on the clock of course.
