HEY Farmers, I currently grow in a tent that is 4x4x6.5Ft and I have to switch my MH to a hps and 18/6 to 12/12 but first I need a new spot for my new plants that haven't reached flower yet and need some extra time but I'm not going to be able to run a MH so I need a new light and I don't know much about veg lights I know I want something a lot lower power than MH Mabey a t5 tube that's what I heard also I need a good place to put them but I can't buy another inline and another tent soo I'm trying to put them in a safe environment.

Why can't you buy another tent?

With a 4x4 tent to flower in….…..all you'll need for Veg is a simple 2x2 tent with a 2x2 T-5 fixture and a small fan.

you honestly don't need a Lot of space for veg.


I flower my plants out in a 5x10 tent and Veg in a 3x3.

Sure, sometimes I wish I had a bigger Veg space but I am still able to get away with what i've got.

I'm not trying to buy another tent I know you don't need that much space I think I just might do it in my closet drill a hole in the door and put a fan in the door for an exhaust fan.

I would say you're on track with grabbing a T5 and running in your closet if that's the space you have available. Depends what your goals are, if you're trying to expand in the future or whatnot. Better to invest now and save later than half ass now and invest double later.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice cheap t-5 light with a fixture? I want to expand in the future for sure but I have already dropped so much money I just need a veg room for now for 2 years or so tell I move then I can really start growing because I don't wanna grow in tents my whole life I want to have an actual room.

I need one that like 2-3 ft because I don't have that much space on my hands I know nice doesn't equal cheap but I mean under 100$ that I can find online because everything is cheaper online plus I don't have hydro stores really near my crib

I use my walk in closet as a veg area. T5s are hung from the hanger rack.
Then I flower in 4x4 tents. Best of luck.

Never heard of a 3'
Doesn't mean it doesn't exist
and no online isn't always cheaper
Gotta learn how to haggle bro

Find the cheapest online price for what you want, then go to your favorite hydro store and see if they can beat the price (without shipping) if they can get close it'll probably still be cheaper after shipping is considered and you don't have to wait

If you notice in the bottom left corner you can see where a 4' intake comes through the wall. Pushing 200 cfm of fresh air from my master bedroom into my grow room. And a fan blowing between the plants and the lights. The trick with T5s is keeping light within 3" from tops of plants.

How big of pots do you plan on going
t5 will only cover the same area as the fixture itself
so your veg area would be 24"x30" with that fixture

I just realized that fan in the bottom corner I really don't want to buy another fan it seems like I'm going to have to drop another 300 on a veg room which is kinda a force because I already dropped 1000$ on my tentsoil and nutes but I gusse it has to be done because I love growing

Ive got about 7k invested in my grow room and feel like I barely have anything.
