Damn fungus gnat and fruitfly season is approaching, the house has started getting the odd ones flying about. Time to get Walter Whited up and get medieval on them.
Any advice fellow UK peeps, the US guys have mosquito dunks, no pest hot strips and allsorts, I can get bug spray from BQ, fumers or super expensive 'hydro' potions! I've been using bennies and nil nat which seems to work but feels like I'm not doing enough! keep getting stuck to the yellow traps too :@

Iv been told a simple layer of sand on top of your soil is an impenetrable barrier to fungus gnats.thats what im going to do.that tip came from a few very reputable growers.i find the best answer to a problem is usually something simple.

I dont think ladybugs eat fungus gnats or their larvea.infact i know they dont.ladybugs eat bugs that feed on your leaves.usually green fly,aphids ect..you can buy predatory nematodes.iv used em on really bad infestations and two pplications 2 weeks apart worked amazing.i had tried the gnat off and someone told me recently to try that but it didnt really work for me.

I use the ladybugs,the. Gnats won't live where there's ladybugs,the nematodes which I've used are good,but if used late in bloom can cause budrot cause the plant has to be fed from the bottom and has to sit in water for a bit,gnat off works great but it's been discontinued as far as I know,76

Sog update 1 week in today and they've filled right out they'll be on a litre a day soon bless em....cut the hose down on me watering doodar and it works a treat now ;)

Chopped calizhar x headband last night ... lovely purple buds with the odd green flick , bright orange hairs and a really dense white frost .... not a big yielder at all but didnt pay her much attention tbf.
Ill post a few nug shots when the nugs dry abit more ;)

Ghetto ill sort you some chunky monkey n calizhar x headband samples out at end of week pal :D

I use lady bugs too ... ive tried sand , gnat off , neem repel ... fucking mites are easier to kill off than gnats lol ...
Ladybugs seem to work best though and there free :)

A new thing ive started doing is after each plant is dry i take a 8th bud and mbb it the put it in a shoe box till xmas lol ... all the packages look the same so xmas day ill have a shoebox full of different strains all with long cures and your guess is as good as mine which is which lol

Agree I was having trouble used all of laxs gnatrol on em helped a lot tbh with the no pest strips but still there was a couple left behind got about 6 lady's in there and problem solved after just a couple of days ain't had em since

Im really looking forward to my multi seed sog ... getting it all set up at minute !

Regarding the choc chunky monkey , if im honest its not my cup of tea.
Its devastating strong but its really rich and musky like smoking a cigar ... creeps up on you though ... got 2 more in flower ... might bin my mother though.
