Weed Jerky?

So I am a fairly consistent smoker of herbs and Meats and want to know if anyone has tried making some kind of like bho jerky or anything I would like to try but the temps oh the temps concerns me so much

Average smoke temps are around 180-210 for many hours but I plant to only apply the oil in the latter part of the smoke is this wise?

good little experiment. I'm with Smokey, send me a snack size piece. I will let you if its good! Sounds tasty,now you got me thinking of some fucking jerky.. Mmmmm jerky.

What about smoking meat and tossing dried buds that you soak to slow down the burning time with say apple chips or hickory? Would the herb smoke infusE into the meat with the THC or would it just burn off?

That's kinda what I am wondering it certainly would give it a nice bud flavor but would it get you where you want to be I'm just gonna have to give it a go and post some pics when I do get my smoker up and running going fishing next weekend if I catch a few I'll throw a steak on after my fish and see what comes of it I may ship off a bit for some testing; )

Smoke the fish with it, that would be nice. Like a lemon diesel or something with a good stronge lemon terpenes, if you just so happen to have something like that.

I'm thinking the best way to infuse the meat, would be to baste with cannabis oil as the meat is resting. Temps too high will just burn off any THC. If This isn't a worry, then by all means use the dry material the same way you would use any other spice.

If you are trying to make jerky with a buzz, I would take BHO to melting point and brush onto completed, or nearly completed dehidrated meat.

Well I believe THC only burns off above 325 Degrees .. I am no Expert lol but
when I Make and use my canna-oil -> for brownies and such... always
keep heat at below 325 .. not sure if that helps ya..

Here is a suggestion,why not just smoke a J and eat some jerky?What kind of smoker do you have?I smoke alot of meats on my old UDS but ive never tried weed on meat,could probably work since i run right around 225 degrees but it would be wasteful IMO,maybe an oil/butter infused marinade prior to smoking(the meat,lol).As far as throwing nugs on there to create create smoke for flavor ill just smoke those thank you very much.

Ya no i don't think I would do that either, it would just make it smell and taste of burnt bud. I am strictly speaking oils at this point most likely going to do A vegetable oil breakdown. Is there a way I can do it with marinade in stead of oil the only way I know to break it down for consumption is heating cooking oil like coconut oil or pure vegetable and dropping it in little by little as you stir? I worry the sauce would burn and taste bad if I put it in the microwave.

To answer why because I don't like sweets I'm to fat for breads but love edibles so meat is my only alternative (As in only thing I can think of I would eat as medibals)

I have COPD some days smoking is not an option and I don't like sweets (sugar gives me a headache)

Good job getting my hopes up on weed beer tho sounds like the next million dollar pot franchise (I halfway believed you sadly)

I soak kief in vodka and then after a few weeks, add a shot to a beer. Or do oil which is easier since there is no real straining needed. Or soak gummy bears in thc vodka. I mixed oil in chocolate and it didn't really change the consistency at all. But doesn't help the no sweets issue unless u only take a shot of kief liquor. I'm always trying new stuff. But a fat hooter is king.. Now smoked cheese is a whole different thing. Seems u could soak herb in milk and make cheese, theN smoke it. Probably clog ur pipe...lol couldn't resist..lol

Nice bro to funny may actually try the cheese thing. As for vodka I do everclear and bho tincture. this way if I want to get it back I can make absolute winterized and can only handle a lil booz, thought about maybe soaking the meat in that but with the cost of both rather not waste it. But thanks @Apollo13 U Gave Me An Idea I think I will try and put some of that Tincture in a cider later Like A Mixer Never Have Tried That Before.
