Will do definitely! This is a DIY from scratch with basic tools like power drill, saw, files and a screwdriver ;) 50W 2700K and 300W 3000K.
Check the link in my signature, that's my thread and there are some more photos of the build. I'll also put a thread up about this build when it's done and time allows.
Keep it green!
I was wondering if I could graft a bunch of strains on a mother plant and be able to rotate through the strains for flower ?
Well Im not sure thats exactly how it works...there is a video on youtube and the guy said you can graft as many as you want to the "host" plant and after the graft has taken and healed anything growing off that part would be the new strain. Sooooo technically you can have one mother plant that you could take 10 diff clones from....that would be pretty neat....I would then like to see what would happen if you tried to flower the mother that has all the strains attached!!It doesn't do anything from what I understand. Except I suppose it would be cool to have an og branch in a haze plant. Lol. It would still be og kush though.
yea what he saidI can't remember where I saw it, but someone was able to successfully graft about 10 different strains to a single plant. When it floweres, each strain remains independent and finished out is if normal....I'll look for it.
I know grafting can be done , I've seen a friend do it just because. The grafted plant never took on any traits from mother plant that I could see. My thoughts where to graft 5 of my favorite strains into a host mom. Then stager the strains in my perpetual 5 plant count grow.Yes, 100% for sure. That is actually a very good idea;)
As far as grafting cannabis. I think I'd go for a cross graft, put 'donor' plant next to 'mother'. Then bend/tie the 'donor' over and cross the mother in a nice spot. Take a razor blade and scrape away a thin slice to expose the cambium on BOTH plants where they cross. Tape/wrap the cross up tightly but, not too tight. Wait for the 'donor' top to show new growth then sever it from its root stock. The new branch will the be 'whatever' on the mothers rootstock. They make multi top citrus trees and pear/plum/apple etc...
I've seen people claim you can graft a long flower sativa onto an autoflower and shorten finishing time
I've never tried it my self and we all know you can believe everything you read but.....
