Dear Good Friends,

I used to post a lot however I am severely ill, hence the lack of posting.

Long Story Short I have a nice small room setup that will fit a 4x8 tray. However there isn't enough power for 2x 1000.

I have spend close to 50 hours researching on LEDs and still cannot make up my mind. I have somewhat narrowed down to two LED unit that I think are good.

Platinum P600
G8 LED 600w

I am even willing to buy both. So the main question is that I want to cover a 4x8 try but not used 2000w to cover it. what is my best option. My budget is not much of a problem as along I stay under $2000. And I only have access to 1200 watts for the 4x8 tray.

2 lec 315
Personally i would make it a 3x6 whith 2 of the lec's
or 3x9 and get 3

Hey man.....do you flower under those 315's? Can you shove the canopy up tight like my 600's?
I have been looking at those recently, and liking what I see.

if i am consstently getting 2-2.5 per 1000 hps what can i expect from one 315 LEC also which one do you recommend the vertical or horizontal.

do you have some extra money?
just get a 2 light flipbox..

you would only need one ballast.. so you could sell your other ballast to help with the cost of the flipbox..

it works by running one light at a time.. so every 12 hours it swtches your ballasts power to the other light.. you would just need to divide the room in 2..
it may be a bit more work but itll give you a lot more bud in the long run then with LED's

LECs over LED all day long,3 over a 3x6 should do it and keep you under on power.A 4x8 would need one or two more IMO.

Cannot do the flip box due to lack of help in seperating. spectrum is out of range its expensive. i am lening towards 2 to 3 lec 315 or may be by three different lights that are top are top of the line.

i really wanna know what i can pull from 2x315 LEC over 3x6

3x 315s over the 4x8, I know people who run up to 5 315s per 4x8 with no problem. 315s are good for a pound a light if you know what you're doing. What's the power limitation? 2000 watts isn't that much...if you're worried about electric it's pretty easy to get a replacement dryer plug from home depot and wire it to an mlc...

no experience myself whith the 315s

But the garden i seen was set up in 6'x6's whith 4 315s above and (he said) he was pulling 4-6 units each pull

I seen 4 units no problem but did find 6 units a little optimistic but at the same time he was in the process of switching over his third 12 k room to 315s

So he definitely belived in the 315s considering he had 40 and was adding 40more to his grow and had 24 1k ssitting not being used

I have a 4x8 tent and just recently purchased 4 x 315s. I know the less power and heat thing but right now I have only 8 or so inches from cola tops. Will these lights burn my tops at that distance?

I make my own lights lol. I use Cree CXB3590's with Meanwell HLG drivers here's some pics of my lights in action now this was taken 8/28/2015

4 plants in my 4x4(372watts)
