whats the point of "legalizing marijuana " if when you get approved for your id it means shit when it comes to a "drug test" a cocain addict can stop for 3 days and pass but if u go and get ur legal id card, pay $$ dor that card as well after going to the docs for yrs for therapy, spending $$ on specialist and then u get ur id it means shit to these employers.

if you have a medical marijuana id thc should be excluded from the test. if not then whats the point?

This is the battle of the medical community. When I first moved to Oregon I did a ton of research on the matter and at the time there was even a case in the state's Supreme Court. The reality is the govt. leaves it to an employer's discretion. If an employer chooses to allow medically authorized users to be employed, then they would have to allow non-medical users as they would open themselves up to lawsuits for discrimination. Same thing that happens with them having to keep a junkie after they hire them because you can't fire someone over an "addiction," as the law recognizes it as a medical condition. It's in their best interest to simply bar it all until it's federally mandated they can't discriminate against us.

This is why there's such a huge industry in "detox" and substitutions. Prohibition has created entire industries that would crumble if us pot heads were allowed to work freely like coke heads, tweekers, junkies and alcoholics can. Drug testing facilities would lose business, prisons would lose funding and cops would have to go back to helping their communities instead of discriminating against a major sub culture. State leaders would have to follow the same rules as the rest of us and it would be a real stitch in their sides.

On your situation, my guess is you should be good. Last test I pissed for I quit two weeks prior to and was clean-ish. Barely passed the test. At the time I weighed about 130 lb., 5'6" and wasn't terribly active yet (was for a job on the oil patch in Texas). You're about the size/build of my brother and he cleans up in roughly the same time that I do. If you're sweating it, get some synthetic urine. Most head shops have it for between $20 and $60 depending on your state's medical status and level of drug testing in the area. The more federal/mega-corp jobs, the higher the price ime. Good luck, most of us have sweat this stupid step in the hiring process way more than necessary.

Yes. Synthetic is the way, kept me good for years. I used to fail trying to pass by quiting, because I wouldn't. They don't watch at pre-employment screens. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Get yourself the synthetic stuff, buy extra hand warmers, fill that container up and plan how to carry it, when the temps are good to go, when they are not...time is important. Practice opening everything with little sound. Piss in the toilet too. You never know, there could be some serious McGee working there so be ready and practice will make you confident. Or just quit, I never wanted to.

Also, once I gave them the cup and it read 104 deg. They called me out on it. If that happens just wait a few minutes before you head out that door to let cool.

They will also ask you to empty your pockets and may have you turn them inside out. No patting down though, so I would suggest taping to your lower abdomin with sports tape.

First of let me just say marijuana drug test should be illegal! Especially if you have an ID to smoke/carry!

I have a pre-employment drug test that I have to take by next week and the last time I smoked was on thanksgiving!

before I stopped (because I was looking for a new job and I knew I would be drug tested) I was a heavy smoker. I could eliminate a quarter by the end of the day sometimes! I suffer from chronic pain and it helps me sleep.

b4 I stopped I smoked everyday on average a joint in the morning, another after lunch and another 1-2 at night time. see I toldyou I was a heavy smoker. i wiill say I did slow down a bit cause smoking that much gets expensive! any ways i will be roughly 57 days since ive smoked by the time i take my test.. what you guys think ill be good?

So, let's say you test positive, what now? Lots of aerobic exercise and water, but also what worked for me was drinking some vinegar. It really upset my stomach, but it worked. I've got plenty of body fat goin' on, too, and I am a *very* regular smoker. I bet if you tested my hair it'd test + the whole length through. :D I bet you could SMOKE my hair and maybe get high!

Vinegar, acidic juices like pineapple and cranberry, all that stuff helps. If you decide to drink tons of water the day of the test, IIRC if you also drink some creatine your pee won't be too dilute.

I thought it extreme for the cleaning job but I worked in a massive maintenance shed and it was a dangerous place to be happened a long time ago now but never wanted to work on trains was a summer job when I was at uni many many moons ago.

after this ridiculous drug test im going to have a big fat blunt the length of a girls hair. Im going to space land after. the best part is that my bud will be dry by then i get to try my first harvest. then im going to cure

I hope everyone keeps in mind that most employment drug screens are not monitored, and in my experience drinks do not work and the only way to go is synthetic. Kept in pocket or tucked in the crotch keeps it warm.

Probation or other more secure employers will monitor your test, and there ain't no getting around those with a fake penis or fake pee. They watch and there are mirrors all around the toilet. Diluted tests are considered hot or failed.

Something else to keep in mind. If you get hurt on the job they will usually require a monitored drug test, and if you are under the influence of any drug or alcohol your workers comp benefits will be reduced by half.

That's a big deal, and worth considering. If you are going to put your freedom on a $25 drink that moves toxins or shields them for X time period is stupid, foolish, and it will only fool fools. I have never had a drink work (using a real test while a probationer) , and I have tried plenty of times. Eventually you get tired of trying to game the system. I was lucky in that nobody recognized red cards when I was on probation, so I was able to use a reco from my doc and a dramatized medical situation and was allowed to stop taking drug tests, but that was only a month or so before my probation ended and the green rush clusterfuck.

I have had the cheapo tests come back clean and I've tested hot, I've had false positives as well. You get what you pay for.
