Bro I have grown in nearly every system and the iws is for sure the best I've ever came across for many reasons and as for getting air to the roots it's the best for that also every time it floods it pushes all the stale air out and when it drains replaces with fresh every 3 hours :)It looks a crap system to me for many reasons not sure I can be bothered to dissect it properly but I looked at their website and off top of my head very poor control of watering due to timer + solenoid + gravity feed = ever reducing flow rate as water butt drains, timer leads to flooding especially when refilling reservoir, bullshit claims on main page. Severely overpriced as well for what they are.
Best way to get o2 to root zone is top watering and drain for anything other than true aero or dwc.
Autopot is a much better alternative if you insist on outdated horizontal methods ha ha ha, only joking just having too much fun vertically.
Top tip if ever u use 1 incase u don't know they don't need feeding as often in winter maybe every 4.5 hours maybe even stretch it to 5 :) also don't get the budget version u need the deluxe it comes with stands that are on a little tilt to assist in drainage and the copper disks that are vital also they massively assist the root zone and help stop the roots going down the pipes and fucking everything up hope this helps :) if u do end up getting 1 if u get stuck on anything I will do my best to explain :)Bro I have grown in nearly every system and the iws is for sure the best I've ever came across for many reasons and as for getting air to the roots it's the best for that also every time it floods it pushes all the stale air out and when it drains replaces with fresh every 3 hours :)

My bad bro I thought it was the alien system same as iws but a different company :) I guess nature if the beast when dealing with stoners :)No it just lets some reservoir out on a timer via gravity as the waterbutt level drops the flow rate drops so every water you get less than the water before until you refill a recipe for disaster if you ask me.
Maybe I'm wrong but pretty certain that's what's going on.
In dirt myself but after I've all my soil nutes gone I'm thinking coco..yeild are tons better
Do a 60/40 mix with clay pebbles and set a dripper up :)Same here fella! Coco is Defo next step for me, just finding time to water everyday :speechless:
Lol seems like a lot of fuckin about at 1st but belive me when I say they are very simple to use I was looking at a 5 pot bud box I've just ordered a load of em if there any good I will let u know :)Sounds like a ball ache having the giant water thing n a pump for the drip...I'd nearly rather feeding everyday

Meh fuckin spell checker :(These suckers are 1.2m Sq and are only £50 they total fold away so can get through loft hatches and are East to get in and put of places that might be a little difficult with any other hydro system :)
Them auto pots can work well but are prone to pythium and when I say prone every 1 that I know that has tried 1 has had some issues at some point if your well practised in the art then no biggie I guess with a little £ and a little time this can be sorted before it gets too serious but if your not can be deadly or at least will stick a few extra week on your cycle hope this helps 1 system I would stay away from especially this time of year is dwc because of the water temps and the way they run :)Sounds like a ball ache having the giant water thing n a pump for the drip...I'd nearly rather feeding everyday
No but there only mega cheap like a tenner from a aquarium shop :)That's pretty cool man do u get a bubbler n all for the reZ?
Basically u get the tank the pots and all the lines/rings and a pump to pump it just flood 1 time a day until the temps start picking up if your guna go the coco/pebble mix if your guna go the pebble only route probably run for 15 mins every 3 hours at 1st and increase as the plants grow :)That's pretty cool man do u get a bubbler n all for the reZ?
